Thing is, it took Warnock about seven years to slowly put that team in place to get us into the Prem, but what a season that was, we never went below second place,. were winning home and away, scoring for fun.

No one is going to get seven years anymore (not that I am saying they should, we just need to get out of League 1)

Just goes to show that those who say you should "never go back" and if you do you are "living in the past" are talking bollocks. Add to that Redknapp at Portsmouth, Pullis at Stoke, and of course Morinhio. Lots of examples of bosses failing in their second spells too, of course, but it's not always a disaster. Not an attempt to justify a Warnock return, btw

I think Adkins is a gamble. He's right on paper but what if we played shit and it turned out that his career had zenithed some while ago? After all, that would be the Blades Way.

Can't understand why Robinson would take a step back and Adkins may be out of reach for league one based on his recent comments, also there has to be a limit to what we can/will pay him as it will detract from the playing budget if he gets a huge salary. Personally I think any half decent manager who can buy a couple of centre halves and play 2 upfront at home will make a better go of it than Clough so I'm not too worried if it's Parkinson. Also met his assistant before, big character cut from the same cloth as Morgan who will get the players motivated and he's a massive blade.
