Honestly do not get all the negativity he is a good player but because he is at Man Utd it is always magnified when he makes a mistake they expect every defender to be like Maldini Nesta Beckanbauer etc.

I think he would be a good signing and if we could get a player like Phil Jones we could build from there i think Wilder would get the best out of him.

Anyway, he was a good player once, with potential to be a very good player. Maybe he can be again. Wilder has turned around a few careers that seemed adrift.

He's been at Man Utd for 9 years (mainly as a squad player) and has 27 caps for England. He's 28, so has time on his side and would most likely fit in as the central cb (cover for Egs) in our system but could cover as a much more defensive player in Basham's role. Yes he got absolutely destroyed by Mousset at bdtbl and easily had one of the worse individual performance I've seen but there is a solid PL defender in there. With Jags leaving we need cover and Jones would be am asset and would most certainly add to the squads depth. However (and thats a big however), he is reportedly on 120k a week and unless he's willing to take a ridiculously big pay cut this won't happen.
