Will Hoskins in, Erik Tonne out.

Squad given a little tweak but we lose no key players.

After a full day watching SSN i'm off to bed, and think it has been a good day and decent JTW for the Blades on the whole.

Although players can still leave on loan..

Good JTW on the whole for us would have liked to see riise back though

Hope there are no nasty surprises when you get up in the morning. 11pm doesn't always seem to be the last we hear of transfers

I'm very pleased with yesterdays goings on. Hoskins could be that "bit extra" we need when Evans isnt firing. Tonne i like and would like to see more of but a loan is good for both parties.

The one thing that i'm bothered by is that Rhodes is still a Huddersfield player.

Considering the hillsboro massive were going to blow our minds with their massive spending spree we seem to have escaped unscathed from the fire sale many of the porksters said wed have, and theyve ended up with a young lad from spurs who hasnt played for spurs and a kid bought for a tray of pies

and apparently marshall is shit now

Well done to the club for not snapping the hand off the first club that comes in with a derisory bid for Evans, Maguire, et al.

Would guess this means if we don't go up this season there will be a fire sale in the summer.

Hoskins scoring 20 in League One last season (despite playing in a team that was relegated) bodes well, should be good back up if Evans is injured/off form/jailed.

Judging by the striker parternships chosen so far I doubt that Wilson will play them together.

Christ my eyes hurt after reading that. To think that they call us fickle! Don't they talk a load of bollocks?

Well I'm happy, and for once our board have kept the squad together to make a challenge.

More humble pie, but "Well done" to the board.

Did the board actually reject any offers for our players though?
If they did I would have expected them to make it public, so they could quite rightly take the plaudits.
One new loan player (Hoskins) signed. Two other players re-signed (Beattie and Williams).
Two have left permanently (Parrino and Aksalu) and two more gone out on loan (Tonne and McAllister).
So overall, I would expect the wage bill to be roughly the same as at the start of January.
Still, credit to the board for not actively trying to flog our players as they so often have in the past.

But in the past we have actually had players who people wanted to take away from us. Now we have a couple of youngsters (Lowton and McGuire) who are more likely to be a summer target rather than a panic January purchase and someone facing a rape trial (and out of contract once the outcome is known). Other than that it's not a squad for "big" clubs to come plundering.

Amazingly, Monty's Europe wide legion of admirers have, once again, kept their hands firmly in their pockets. Twats!

Like Hoskins though, scary as you like in The Long Good Friday.

Apparently he's complained to DW that he's not getting enough football!

Oh, the irony...
