He was asked about Archer but he would not comment on it .Also he as been talking to Davis for a long time about joining. He sounds a bit disappointed about not having some more signings in before hand and being unable to work with them sooner .
Baldock and Lowe should be fit for Florist.
Mcb back around the team.
Bogle could be back soon.
Davies we've talked to him for a long time. Got a dig in about "our circumstances" which suggests he wanted him in sooner.
Hamer good character settled in well wants him to get into their box more suggests a more advanced role.
Archer wouldn't comment on.
Seemed disappointed we hadn't got more in this week.
Loans look like they are going down to the wire as we are looking for players at the top of the pitch.

George and Lowe – latest is both are OK. Bit of fatigue and ML had an ankle injury from pre-season but he is fine – just cramp from Palace game
Seems positive about Ollie McB for Fri
Hecky has been talking to Tom Davies for months. He has been hanging on waiting to come and play for us. He has been patient enough to wait. Glad to get that done
Hamer has made good impressions straight away. He’s all action and fearless in that final third. We want to push him on getting in the box more.
Seems Hecky believes Tom is a victim of circumstance at Everton, around changing managers and perception of him being below the main squad. Keen for a fresh start.
“We know we’ve got a hungry player”.
Gaffer is still hopeful we sign another player before Forest, but it’s only two days now, so “who knows”.
“Can you shed any light on Cameron Archer and where any attempts to bring him in on are?”

Hecky says we are prepared that loans will likely be at the end of the window, be they domestic or international. Looking at the top end of the pitch. “People are unwilling to let those players go”
“What do you want to see as an improvement between Palace and Forest?”
A better balance of the team. Training has been better with the new boys, re the quality. More of a threat at the top end of the pitch. That’s not just with the players at the top end, it’s how we keep the ball and how we manage that side of the game.
Every game is an opportunity to get points. We are working on it in training but unfortunately also having to work on it in the games, but it’s better than last year when we were playing Saturday - Tuesday (now we play just the one game per week and have lots of training opportunities in between). It’s “flat out work”

Yes, he said we were turning our attention to the top end of the field basically agreeing we need a lot more fire power. But he said that goals do not come just from that area. When asked about Archer, he said he wasn't our player so wouldn't comment except to say he scored against us last season and he had watched him against PNE. Very cagey interview so, I guess, we aren't much closer. Also mentioned loans from abroad in addition to the 2 we can have from domestic clubs.

From what I understand there was interest from Luton plus multiple championship clubs, plus offers from Saudi Arabia and other foreign clubs.

I thought that at first, but Hecky says something about both sides being keen, we've just had to wait for the club to make it happen. Sounds like a subtle dig to me.
He probably wanted silly wages initially, hopefully we are paying him sensibly

By “silly” do you “premiership level”? I’d expect him to be one of our top earners now, but probably still amongst the lowest relative to other teams.
