This is the players who play against these players and try doing their own jobs well which means someone doing their job badly often and its not easy to do when players have got to the level they have.

And it was taken in early march, we've really kicked on since and not to say we weren't spectacular at the back we've got a lot of clean sheets recently.

Oh it was i understand the pumped up stuff and what not.

That Wigan game will haunt me should we not get promoted and for you it was if Carlsberg did weekends.

Fully expect you to beat Ipswich tbf and if you do then credit for keeping your nerve.

But when we went 1-0 up against 10 man Wigan you surely expected that was it for that game? Bizarre things have happened this season.

Injuries, bad luck, arrogance, all sorts of things have cost us so far. Feel a bit sorry for Bamford tbf because his record goals wise is decent but maybe doesnt fit our style although a better all round player then Roofe imo. Jansson is an odd one, he has games where he is a 1 man defence but at times a total liability, Sharp is a clever old fox tbf, been around a long time and knows what he is doing.

I do of course, was the same before we played Wigan, i get it, probably more annoyed about how we let it go tbh.

If results go as expected you will be promoted soon enough and will deserbe it, but we have to cling on to that bit of hope, if the top 3 last season can all drop points on the last day against relegation candidates then you can to Ipswich.

If you dont then fair play for lasting the pace, i do wonder how the Prem would react to the overlapping cbs, would you adapt, would you spend big, many questions.

Great post mate.

In no particular order, how we'll do should we get promoted is I've no idea. I expect us to get beaten regularly, but key to all of this is exactly how quickly Wilder and Knill respond to the steep learning curve they're presented with. Historically we're not big spenders so don't expect huge amounts to be spent.

Football's the most concise area of life I know, so getting slapped in the face hard and often is something most fans expect. We're no different, so should we get there, and then manage to remain there, that in itself will be a miracle. Key will be keeping hold of Wilder, and as we have a boardroom scenario that we could do without we'll just have to weather any storms that come our way.

We seem to have a good bunch of players, most capable of delivering 7.5 out of 10 most weeks, so it's this consistency that has enabled us to progress. I can't see Basham doing so well in any other side, so credit to Wilder for getting the best out of someone we never imagined would rise above Div 1.

I do get your points about nerves and those feelings of exasperation that we've all experienced. We look at potential and sometimes misinterpret this as fact, so little wonder we feel let down, especially when some of the guys who wear the shirt are getting paid many thousands each week and seem less committed than me.....and so on.

The Blades I know are far from arrogant. Of course we have supporters who I'd have little to do with, but the ones I know are decent and reasonable people, and no doubt you and they would be able to chat about this and whatever else without a voice being raised.

Finally, our biggest plus is the players we have. I doubt they'll throw this opportunity away, their dedication and commitment has been spot on, even when we've lost, so if we lose I'll be gobsmacked, pure and simple! Not expecting this of course, so watch this place, and should places change then you'll have deserved whatever comes your way.

Try and have a great weekend Cjay, I certainly will.

Villa need to win to finish ahead of their rivals WBA and home advantage in the playoffs.
They have the confidence going for them and will want to keep winning going into the important playoffs. If the pigs were in WBA's spot and we were in Villa's we would be all out to win the last two.

Aside from some of the selections, the title of that BBC article is awful: "Norwich and Leeds dominate PFA selection of team of 2018-19". Given that those sides have 3 players each while us and Villa have 2 players each, "dominate" is a very odd choice of words...

You better beat Ipswich mate.

The amount of crowing on here reminds me of us prior to Wigan.

Understandable but you never know:p

Automatics, play offs whatever. I hope that the three teams now occupying the top of the Championship all reach the promised land, they have been far and away the class teams in this division. If it's play off's though, I hope it's you 'cos we are shite at 'em.

The 'spygate' situation has had a much bigger affect on Leeds and Bielsa in particular, than most people realise. It was treated as a source of amusement at the time, but i really think that they gained a substantial advantage by doing what they did.I do not analyse football like some do,i prefer to judge by intuition and experience, but i suspect that Leeds form has been negatively impacted since the 'spygate' situation was brought to light.

Apologies if mentioned already but aren't votes made in Jan or Feb? If so makes it utterly fucking pointless with a third of the season to go.
