We are in a very difficult position- Managing a football club is a black art - who is to say what the ingredients are to make the job a success ?
David Moyes looked a reasonable shout for the Man Utd job given his solid tenure at Goodison Park - Some Man Utd fans may not agree - Kenny Dalgleish made a pigs ear of his second coming at Liverpool - Mark Hughes had some success at Man City but has struggled at clubs since then - Chelsea get through managers like Sheffield United !
Everything needs to click at the right time but I would have thought Football knowledge, Man Management, Respect, Flexibility, Motivation are all key parts of the job
You could name many, many names of managers and someone somewhere would have an objection - all this balls about style of play, passing football, formations blah, blah, blah - Realistically it is about winning!
If the Blades were sat in the league where Orient are, there would be no complaints whatever type of football we played (except the odd idiot Pinchy!)
The reason Weir failed was that he was arrogant, single minded, inflexible and aloof - not a good mixture, However, it was not the fact that the football was mind numbingly boring, creating little or no goal mouth action that got him the sack -It was the fact we had not won a game since the first match of the season and we were bottom of the league !.
Anyway, onwards and upwards - Peterborough on Tuesday - whose their manager ?? - Ah yes, the guy that hardly won a game in his previous job at Preston North End !
