He had a quiet 1st half of the season, but has been one of, if not the stand out player for the during the 2nd half. He's very highly thought of down there.

That may or may not be the case but I very much doubt Wilder would by a player on the strength of half a decent season?

He has played in a team that has finished in 16th. Not saying that he is a bad player , but it`s just more "he had a good game against us" so we should sign him bollocks.

Didn't notice him in the 1 -1 @ the Lane nor in yesterday's 2nd half - perhaps he couldn't cope / compete with Lunny !?!?

We missed out on players like Sammy Ameobi / Oztumer this season! Imagine where we would have finished if we had signed these.

Signed for £6m. Had a good end to the season after settling in to what is a very hard division for imports to adapt, but hasn't had a good enough season overall to be in high demand. So on that basis he should be in our range. If he continues this form for another 6 months then he'd likely be unattainable.

Now appears the optimal time to sign him, balancing risk and cost.

He's blatantly a player with excellent attributes. Very athletic, versatile, good with the ball and drives forward, on either side of the pitch. And he's only 23.

A player like him would jump at the chance of moving to the PL.

He would properly cover every midfield position, and probably become a starter and big asset.
