Great to see one of my favourite players down at the Lane today. I was gutted and annoyed when Warnock let him go. I remember at the time Warnock coming out with some guff about the travelling was getting to Pesch and strangely Pesch seemed to back him up at the time. Appears to be at odds with what Pesch wrote in the programme today!.

Pesch said that the following year he had gone looking for a contract extension and that he was settled. Travelling to Sheffield was no problem and Warnock didn't want to commit himself on Pesch. Derby came in and that was that.

Cheers. I always liked Pesch for the energy that he brought to the table. Seemed to have genuine affection for us, that Forest goal must be the biggest buzz he ever had in football and probably helped.
