We've lost (not too heavily) to a club that have bent FFP to breaking point.
We'll probably finish mid-table. To some who probably got giddy about our early-season position, that may seem disappointing. Not to me. It's been a solid first season back after six seasons in Div. Three. We've beaten most teams in this division and not been humiliated in any game.
We're up against several teams who have made a mockery of FFP. Those who go up will probably get away with it. Some who don't go up will probably get away with it, depending who they are.

I've no doubt that our defeat at Wolves will kid some Wednesdayites that today hasn't been all bad. They're deluded. Chansiri has bought the farm this season and hopefully a hefty points deduction for next season will follow. Even if it doesn't, they've got an oversized, overpaid, bloated squad who nobody will want and another shite manager whose hands are tied by Doyen.

Times are still good at BDTBL.

Never get much perspective on here on a Saturday night. Too many undercover pigs and posters who've been drinking all day.

Truth be told, this league was always going to be very difficult. We have done really well so far theres no need to over react at all.

Yes Wolves were better, Neves cost £16 million.

But I thought we played decent passing possession football at times tonight, but without really threatening.

I think Chris is in a look see period at moment trying to see who is best players are, he has to play them to get to know.

He knows Duffy is good and now he'll be getting a feel for Holmes Evans and Leonard.

The football we play is damned decent, and if we do finish mid - table so be it- but I reckon i a few games he'll know the best team and we will be better for it.

The formula he has got works- lets stick behind him.

I seem to remember some eighteen months or so ago we were languishing at the bottom of Div 1.

A top half finish this season, which is on the cards, is very respectable for our first season back in the championship.

I was expecting at least a 2-0 defeat, bearing in mind the season they’re having, the form they’re in, and likely a desire to get their own back on the result earlier this season. I know we have a fair share of knee-jerkers in the fanbase, but some of the reactions to this result are veering on the meltdown end of the scale.

This isn’t that dissimilar to say Bradford last year coming to Bramall Lane last season and getting comfortably beaten 3-0 when we were bang in form with a superior team. I’d be surprised if there were too many Bantams over-reacting to that at the time.

My God the knee jerker's are out in force tonight, a lot of dummies have been spit out and the rattles are out of the pram. There are times when you have to say the other team were better rather than slagging of our team give Wolves a bit of credit they are a Premiership team in all but name. I don't think criticism of some of the players are Wilder for that matter is out of order but some of the shit I have been reading is ridiculous bordering on abuse. Yeah I can't for the life of me see why Duffy can't get near the team and Donaldson must be wondering what he has done to get replaced by what looks like a Man U show pony. Is Wilder just being stubborn playing the new players because he brought them here, why is he not easing them in to get them up to pace as they have all been playing in League one, it took Lunstram six games to look anything like a player why does Wilder think all these can walk into the side and be up to speed?

Losing's depressing. Far more depressing though is the routine overreaction & lashing out when we get beat.

Last season's joyousness certainly hasn't left an afterglow of good grace this time round.
It’s just like the general consensus in August of ‘I’ll be happy if we just consolidate next season’ never happened and being outplayed for arguably the first time all season by the league’s exceptional side has triggered the rusty sword fallers.

I was much more fed up Tueday night than tonight. We were well beaten by a far better team. It actually made me fearful of getting in the play offs and possibly going up. I reckon we'd be outclassed, as I think we were tonight, most games.

Because getting 100 points might make you confident in your own judgements?

Makes me confident in his judgement.

Today’s fragile performance aside, against a side running away with it to be fair, who do you fear in this division ?

Which sides have comfortably outplayed us ?

Dominated us ?

Our expectations are raised BECAUSE of what we do and how we do it.

Today’s defeat aside, still fresh in the memory I accept, we have locked horns with the best the division has to offer and largely prevailed. Even in defeat our tail has often been high.

I SEE NO REASON WHATSOEVER AS TO WHY OUR LEVELS OF EXPECTATION ARE NOT RAISED.

And with good reason.

We have good players. A handful of really good ones. Players that would grace any side at this level.

Let’s not revert to type, do the typical Sheffield Bladey Blade thing and accept mediocrity.

We have raised the bar.

The players have raised the bar.

The management have raised the bar.

Don’t be all apologetic about it !

Surprise surprise.

Football fans are pretty much all the same.

Very short memories.

Success breeds entitlement.

If we drop to mid table some fuckwits will be right on Wilder's case - that's a fact.

Sad.
