Outgoing? Peck

Trained and prepared for Oxford today, money talks as always. Depends on size of bid, hopefully stays.

Forest would certainly pay over the odds this late in January for Peck, especially final few hours.

But, I don't see us selling anyone this window, the summer maybe a different story...

The only outs I can see is being that of Matos & Nwachuku.

Given Reidewald is injured, Davies went off injured, Arblaster's only recently returned from 13 months & Peck missed 6 games. So having Philips & Rothwell is great - once both are officially announced...

Long contract (2028) so charge them what he's worth. 8 figures, no doubt about it.

We’re one heavy now, I suspect he’s off. Always tough to lose a quality young player but if we get a good price with relevant sell-on clauses I’d take it.

Forest upped their bid from 14 to 25 mill for the Celtic lad in 24 hours or so.

Clearly desperate.

If they're willing to chuck silly money at it, we should consider.

We have to get used to being picked off by PL clubs and selling at the right times.

£18m with add-ons and sell-ons on top would seem good value to me.

£16m with add-ons and sell-ons, and Tyler Bindon on top would seem good value to me.

Considering Davies is never fit to put multiple games together, Riedewald is still out and Arblaster really needs to just be doing 20 mins here and there...we really aren't one heavy at all

We’ll have Rothwell, Phillips, COH, Hamer, Soumare who can all play. Along with Arblaster off the bench and Jairo returning.

We’re well stocked IMHO.

If we can get something daft like £20m plus Bindon I’d do it.

You've just named two players who don't play centre mid and one who should be on the bench at best

and both are fit one of them has played 10 minutes of football

If £18/20m + sell on we should take it, it more than pays Phillips wages and when Davies is released and Hamer probably going in the summer we can have a war chest for new additions

Several teams have kept tabs on him if you believe the papers West Ham, Spurs, Brentford and Everton have all been mentioned previously. The Everton link probably was there because of Ndiaye and previously Jags, the most likely destination if he does go is Brentford mainly because it’s London and secondly at a club where they are safe relegation free side. He hasn’t played many minutes in at the top level to be risked with chucking in at the deep end in a relegation scrap just yet. He needs a preseason if he does move with his new side. He has the ability to be a Premier League player but also doesn’t need to be the best there he needs to have Premier League quality and form around him

Assuming we are still in the champ I Imagine he, unfortunately, will be gone in the summer. Have to be looking at 20 mill though, will help fund another tilt at top 6 next season

Wasn't Simon Tracey pictured on here attending a match the other week? He's now a Brentford scout, so maybe something in this along with the United connection with Andrews and Lester

Be a shame to see him go but he's potentially our biggest saleable asset right now.
And we are going to need to make some sales. Unsure as to what sort of fee though.

I can actually see him being quite suited to the PL in the right team. Brentford could be a good place for him.

If you're in his shoes, you're open to going back to London, have the level of self-belief he has and a higher ceiling that probably anyone else we have on the books, where would you want to go? Lego-head's Arsenal and not get a game, basket case clubs like West Ham, Chelsea and Spurs or tread water with Fulham and Palace every year?

He'll only improve playing with better players and as painful as it is, little old Brentford over the last 10 years have built something that most clubs are very envious of.

They sell on at a profit and have someone else ready and waiting in the wings to pick up where they left off.

Their achievements are akin to a club like Peterborough or Rotherham going through the leagues, built mainly on diligent processes and analysis (with some well invested money) rather than James Bord's Power BI dashboard, Jamie Hoyland's mates and owners thinking they can do a real life re-make of Ted Lasso.
