Wharton's being watched by Real Madrid, about 6 weeks ago on here Peck was the worst player since Paul Williams.

Anyway, it'd be lovely to see a fully fit Peck and Arblaster together in the 1st team, I think that's when we'll see the best of both of them.

If fully fit them 2 together would be a bit like having Coutts and Fleck. Give them a few games together and the rewards could be big

Wharton is a much better player though. I rate Peck, but Wharton is on a different level, especially in speed of thought and vision.

Wharton is a fantastic player and Palace obviously saw his potential and it was reflected in his fee. He was only 19 when he joined them and had only signed his first professional contract a couple of years beforehand. The fee was big for someone of that age and from memory there were lots of other teams keen to sign him. Peck is not at that level and it would be unrealistic to expect a similar £20m+,fee but at the same time he’s young with bags of potential, represented England at u21s and still has a bit of time to run on his contract so we shouldn’t be accepting less than £15m with add ins in my opinion. Very subjective though!

To be fair players have said they are not leaving only to end up leaving not long after.

If Brentford are interested we need to make sure there's a big sell-on in the deal, to the point where £15m with a 30% clause is probably preferable to £20m with a 10% clause. They don't very often make mistakes in the transfer market and they're very aware of their position in the food chain.

Just had a look at their squad. Not sure there's really anyone who we could or would want to get from that would be an adequate replacement.

I don't think so at all, he's not going to have any clue, and he certainly doesn't want to tell a fan there's no chance and then a move happens. He's get pillared.
Players are commodities that are traded by clubs whenever the club decides they want to. Of course some players can force moves but only if the club ultimately agrees, and yes some players will sit tight on good contracts, but they all generally want to play so most would agree to a loan if it facilitated that.
Peck doesn't know if a PL side will come in for him, which let's be honest he's likely to want to take them up on, or if no one will show any interest at all in which case he's happy where he is. In short, no fucking idea.
