Outgoing? Peck

Selling would make sense to ease the financial troubles but if he's injured long term might not be that sellable at the moment anyway.

He’d be worth just as much in the summer without have to derail the Play Off resurrection.
It's true, though January can inflate fees I suppose.

I don't think selling Peck would derail the season, but obviously it'd be a shame (to sell). Be nice to have a settled team for the long term. Riedewald, Arblaster and Peck are a Championship Busquets, Xavi and Iniesta.

Two things that conflict as to whether he is going. Firstly he has been playing in the England setup, it could be that when rubbing shoulders with players from other clubs he has found out that the are being paid significantly more. But get the feeling he likes playing football and Peck isn't big enough or good enough to get a starting place at a Premier League club so he won't go and will stay at least until the end of the season.

Unless a crazy bid comes in, I don't think he is off anywhere especially when carrying an injury, the teams in the bottom 3 plus Forest and Leeds (mainly due to them being closer) need players that can come in now and make a difference. I am not saying he can't however we have to be realistic, he is 21 currently injured and has scored 2 from the penalty spot and another in 19 Championship matches this season. West Ham and Brentford have been linked with signing him recently probably driven by his London links, although they will have the cash, for West Ham he would have to step up his game to get them out of a relegation battle.

Brentford could and would be the only realistic option, currently mid table or thereabouts and could risk signing a player that might not be ready this season for them. Interesting to note that AI recons we value him at £20million! Although transfer sites have him in the £10-12mill mark. To be honest if a bid of £12mill with a sell on clause and add ons was on the table, I think it would be difficult to turn down, even better if that was to end up with a loan back to the end of the season.

Peck apparently trying to force a move this January
Dont beleave that! And in anycase we will struggle to keep him beyond this window! He is a big player in the making and he knows it,he will get his move sooner than later! Which is a shame as i think he is a good player with all the attributes to be a prem player and a club captain. As Wilder says hes a winner and i agree with him 100%.

Peck apparently trying to force a move this January
I have both criticised and praised the lads performance since being thrust into the side last season. One thing I don't criticise is his character. He is not the type of character to bite the hand that feeds him. He's a young lad still developing his attributes, he clearly loves the club and wears his heart on his sleeve so I would be astonished if this is true regardless of what you have heard.

moves are very rarely forced by the player, it’s the agent, and agents are constantly shopping their clients around for that sweet, sweet signing on fee. Even if the player is settled.

- Peck is probably more than happy working with the current manager and club. Certainly from the video I was sent from him out on the lash Christmas Eve he looked in good spirits.

- that doesn’t mean his agent is beavering away in the background trying to flog him to anyone willing to take a punt on a promising player English midfielder.

- everyone in our squad is for sale, all the time. Hopefully we’ve shown over the last couple of windows it will at least be on our terms and a decent portion of it will be reinvested.

I was told last week he’s out for 6 weeks. No reason to not believe the source. If that’s true he’s going nowhere.
