Arblaster is a boyhood Blade and is therefore seen as being 50x better than he actually is, obviously.

Ey up Pinchy long time no see.

You just needed to add Bladey Bladeness to that sentence and give Arblaster a belittling nickname.

Couldn't be more wrong.

I take it you think Billy Sharp was over rated aswell?
He is wrong, but we did also overrate Sharp, as we did with Edwards before him. Neither were quite good enough to have a career in the top division whereas Arblaster will certainly achieve that if he comes back well from his injury.

No need to compare the two IMO, both midfielders but both bring something different to the team. They each have bags of potential and are very talented - if their career trajectory continues as it is (obviously assuming Arblaster comes back the same from injury) they are going to have very good careers.

If you couldn't see blaster is a special talent then watch another sport or team .plank
So much delusion 🤣 Yes they're both talented, but Arblaster isn't as far ahead of Peck as alot of people on here will tell you - he's a blade tho init. If Peck had a yorkshire accent he'd be 10x better according to some on here 🤣

Funnily enough peck is my favourite player ,like I said if you can't tell blaster isn't top top quality then there's no hope for you .

Arblaster, Peck, and Souza in a midfield 3, next season, would potentially be pretty awesome.
I'm unconvinced to be honest.

Arblaster won't have played for a season and I think he'll struggle a bit getting back up to speed against much better players.
Peck hasn't got the physical athleticism to be as effective in the top flight. That might come but I suspect his impact will be similar, if not worse, than Doyle at Wolves.
Souza struggled last season and again I think he'll be up against better athletes.

I do think we will need to play 3 in the middle though next season if we go up.

Souzas athleticism wasn’t the problem last season…

Thought he was excellent again today, with a great turn and ball down the channel to TC, who waltzed past his man to center for Brewdog.
Didn't think Peck was at his best today, he gave the ball away several times especially with little flicks around the corner.
Agree that it was a good ball down the line for TC.

I think he was taking on a lot of responsibility for trying to get us going. This led to a few flicks going astray but overall I thought he showed a lot of composure on the ball in the centre of the pitch and this was massively helpful considering his partner in midfield seems to prefer playing in line with our defenders.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking the lad. Just that he has had better games for us.
We shouldn't forget the responsibility the young lad has had to take on. Losing Arblaster and the games Vini Souza has missed has really added to the workload/pressure on him.
I think his call up to the England Elite squad is a deserved reward for the way he has played this season.
But, I think he would benefit from having a break for a couple of weeks.

Bannan had a shocking game. Peck was a big reason for that. Kept his cool as well.

I said in Shoutbox during the game, I had no issue with Peck giving it away in those tight pockets as he was trying to progress it around the corner and get us going.

That's a massive learning experience for Seriki and Peck to come out the other side from.
They looked a little over-awed in the first 10 minutes but then they, and the rest of the team, found their groove and looked far more comfortable.

He's having an unbelievable season.
The return of Souza will help him no end (even though I thought Choudhury was our second best player after Cooper today).

Generally agree with you. Although I thought Choudhury was only good if you judge him through the lens of his slightly limited ability. He got around the pitch and put his foot in. That’s a credit to him. But he offers very little when we have the ball.

Yeah Choudhury is frustratingly limited with the ball, and 90% of the time moves the ball backwards but he was good today from a defensive standpoint

His forward pass through their midfield to Hamer, for his forward pass through their defence for Campbell to almost run on to .... Was very good

Id that the ball that Campbell was flagged offside for and would have been in for a one v one against their keeper? If so, that decision infuriated me as it was clear that Campbell was about 2 years onside when the ball was played to him. Shocking decision and no one on the TV made any comment about it.
