live from london road the football ground that is not the crown or the albion

good start this better team even play 1 up front better without weir. man of the match so far flynn closely followed by coady.

still going at em and probably still better team. would make the change here and bring miller on because at the back these are shit and nervy

A good point, something for clough to work on-coming in after 4 points gained from 2 games.
Well done morgs, thanks for the stand in,lets hope you are not needed before the seasons out.
Step up to the plate nigel.

Could have grabbed the win, Flynny had a good game as you say, would have run riot with a bit more pace.

Decent hardworking performance.

Happy enough with that showing again tonight. As foxy said above very professional showing more than anything. Made them, considering the form they have been in look very very average if not poor.

Three stand out players for me were Taylor who for me is looking better and better of late (carries on like this he's gonna be banging em in like nick blackman did last year), he looks a lot sharper and full of confidence since his Coventry brace. He's turning men, bursting forward and having digs from anywhere on sight. Keep your eyes open for an effort of his tonight that nearly sent the woodwork into orbit.

I've knocked Flynn in the past it has to be said but he's come back strong at the minute. He's running at players and beating them and getting himself and the ball into dangerous positions. Very strong candidate for Man Of The Match tonight, very tricky and they didn't like defending against his at times.

Other mentions go to Coady who started well and put the ball around well. His distribution of the ball and spreading it out wide is class. He's a young McDonald but will improve over time and WILL be a premiership player when he matures I reckon. Brandy also had spells tonight where he ran at players and got them on the back foot which was good to see.

Overall we were solid. We bossed certain areas of the pitch at times especially the middle of the park and at times we put them under some good pressure. As I said I would have liked the second striker on the pitch because we had them on the back foot and we were putting some good pressure on them another man in the box and we might have even brought 3 points home tonight. Negative in that respect but happy I can sit here and be disappointed in just a draw if that makes sense?

I am now very excited about Crewe, Shrewsbury and Gillingham. If the new manager comes in and works on what Morgan has installed back into the team then we should be bagging some points from the next three games and that could potentially put us right back in the mix again. Didn't think I would be talking with so much optimism a couple of weeks ago. I think the games coming in thick and fast post Weir has definitely done us a favor, the points in the bag have seriously lifted the team.

One negative to finish on as I don't want to get carried away. We are far from the finished article but we have laid some good foundations for us to build on again. I can see why we played a more negative minded formation tonight however I do much prefer the trusted 4-4-2. We really need to be more clinical in the final third when we are enjoying spells like we did at times tonight, when your on top you need to be looking for 3 points. A draw on paper is good but we could and possibly should have taken all 3.

I didn't go on Saturday but managed to get tonight andI was amazed that this was the same set of players that had let the club down under Weir.

In the first half in particular,Doyle,McGinn,Coady and Flynn were excellant. The two full backs were disciplined and passed the ball well(Lappin looked a different player to how he played under Weir). The two centre halfs were back to last seasons form and Taylor worked tirelessly and was unlucky not to score with the shot that hit the ball.

The only negative was that at time,we were reluctant to make a run behind the full back for a through ball(Brandy guilty of this) and we were sometimes slow when breaking forward.

Overall, well happy with what I saw tonight

What a shit hole that place is. Really poor ground, facilities and support.

Encouraging performance from the team and excellent away support as usual.

Got told off for smoking in the toilet while I was having a wee. I am sure the lady steward who shouted at me saw my winkie.

I hoped that Morgs is needed. It worries me that Clough wants n bring his brother (if that is indeed the case)

Thought we were good last night, they're a good team and we certainly weren't outplayed. Although it was 4-5-1 often it easily changed between that and 4-3-3 with Brandy and Flynn pushing up. Like others have said Flynn and Coady were good, along with Taylor who just gets better. McGinn had a good game as did Doyle who has been better lately. People seem to be losing patience with Brandy and heard a few comments of show pony, I still think he's a good player but he does need to get a better end product. The defence was solid as well as contributing to attacks. Subs wise I thought King should have pressed better considering he'd just come on, but Murphy had a couple of good runs. Overall good night.

If Clough comes in it won't b e just Morgs who goes. I have it on good authority that he will clear the lot out from academy upwards, he has a very large backroom staff apparently.

Morgan should be untouchable. He knows the club inside and out. Clear the rest but Morgan must stay

Was it the stewardess who looked like Cosmo Smallpiece's daughter? If so, she tried to eject one person from a toilet for the disabled and she wanted to eject my mate for 'smoking' his electronic cigarette!

Yep, that was me DC. Was just about to have a pee when she burst in with some big rozzer and shouted at me.

How very rude.

I thought she was more like a fat Deirdre Barlow and I think on reflection she was mentally retarded, a bit simple.

If we should have the misfortune of returning to that dump I will be ready for her next time.
