Bournemouth supporters calling for his head... presumably because he was mixing the two teams up yesterday:

"We didn`t see that coming, it came out of the blue. We have not conceded many chances in games and this was not like what has gone on before.

"We got ourselves in front and they then made the game more physical and direct and we had no answer to that which is disappointing. We gifted them a two goal lead by half time, and you cannot do that at a place like Sheffield United.

"We now need to look at the goals we conceded and how they came about. We need to look at the period after we went in front and then allowed them to take over and find out why...'

I'm sorry, we did what now?

Nice one Paul. Your scouting report was probably written in 2010.

It's great that these misapprehensions persist. Teams should be countering us by packing the midfield and pressuring high up the pitch. But if they prefer to worry about the big hoof up to Darius Henderson then they're welcome. :)

we were like brazil compared to them.. we totally outplayed them.. they only had 3 attempts on goal.. they were the dirtiest team i've seen for some time

Ludicrous comments from Groves. Our football was excellent at times & at last we showed a cutting edge too. Our defending - particularly from corners/crossing was shocking though - otherwise we'd have won by 4 or 5. They were big, strong and dirty - & got what they deserved.

To be fair to Groves.... the did try to play football all the way to Simon Francis who cut a frustrated figure having to knock it long from an isolated position.

That's the problem with a Hoof reputation. It dies hard. It enables mardy losing managers to claim they have lost to a "style of play" as opposed to a better team. We've brought it upon ourselves, I'm afraid (and some of our fans would love more of the same - incredible!)

Ludicrous and lazy comments. For his information SUFC are bottom of the L1 foul play list, we've conceded the least number of fouls in the league. By contrast they have twice as many fouls and have racked up 8 bookings and a red card so far.

I can see this bloke being the first one on his bike from L1 with motormouth Eddie Mitchell and the mad Russian in charge. I don't know who the Russian is but I assume he's mad.

Can't see them putting up with spending their money but getting poor results with lame excuses if it carries on that way.

I can't disagree with a lot of what he said. Before they scored we were comfortably knocking the ball, tippy-tappy-tippy tappy. It was beautiful... Except it wasn't. It had little pace, we were breaking a sweat and it didn't really get us anywhere.

Then they scored a soft, soft goal, it gave us a wake up.

The pace upped and the tackles started going in. We started winning the physical battle - finally!

It allowed us to also start taking gambles and KMac's drive against the post was the first direct run at their defence... Which led to the goal.

Cofie's goal was another example of driving forward, getting their defence on the back foot and they couldnt cope. He ran from halfway

We were direct. Doesn't mean we were hoofing. We weren't we put them on the back foot by hitting them fast.

But we settled back into the comfort zone too often, allowed them to come on to us more. We needed to get a little nastier, a better side wouldn't allow us 5 goals

They were chanting Groves out in the 2nd half after they went 4-2 down.

I don't think we need to be nastier as such, we just need to use the ball better. Highly noticable that we can't stretch the right handside and Doyle was giving suicide balls out for last 10 minutes. I think McMahon is suffering not having a natural right sided player to stretch the pitch infront of him
