If we had got into the playoffs last season I'm sure we would have started favourites, just going on the run we had, Chesterfield have had a good run I don't think the odds will be just for points achieved over the season

Agree . it will be down to form . However there is alway someone that bucks the trend . This season us.

I understand this Bri but when they have accumulated a large chunk of points more than us it has to count for something.

Yes but wasn't it Warnock who "broke" the story? ;)

And whose to say it wasn't Cook (or his agent) who broke this story? Makes sense. If Chezzie don't go up, I can't see them repeating their promotion push next year so Cook might be maximising his opportunities.

..."It's very disturbing at this time of the season - we've got a big game on Saturday," said Turner (Chezzie's Chief Exec.). "We do not want Paul to leave, we want him to stay." Link

Bladebri , i don't think it would be positive or good in anyway . The last thing we need as a club , never mind this season , is disruption on the management front . We've already had a lot on the team front , with negativity already . My thoughts about Clough is - your team , your building , prove how good you are , move this club forward , and finish the job you've started , with success.

Totally agree!

alco , bit of a debatable point , depending on the success of this season , (and success IMO can only be measured in promotion. ) .If we fail i would give him all of next season to right the wrongs .

Agreed, he has had 1 year to build a team. Judging by the last interview, he is pretty clear where he needs to get people in over the Summer.

I'm afraid to say the playoff system means you start with a clean slate yes point gained during the season should count for something.

Paul cook always sounds like he's seconds from an asthma attack.

Whenever I hear him on the radio I struggle to reconcile the way he sounds with the way he played football. I loved him as a player - composed and elegant, great passer of a ball with a lovely left foot on him.

Well be favorites or have the shortest odds atleast as more money will have been put on us due to our larger fan base, also from an outsider point of view they probably just assume we'll win because of our cup run.

yep that and the fact that gambling in a comparitvly small market like L1 playoffs is heavily driven by where the money goes. I think the initial prices will be based on stats but as soon as money starts geting put on then they alter their odds so that the bookies dont lose
