You’re right but, as you say, Clarke was a very good finisher. When Mick Jones joined Leeds they were a pretty deadly duo I seem to recall. Bamford IMHO has been one of the reasons Leeds have dropped off - can’t remember a more wasteful striker.

He actually did say something like that as it happens. I was in the car with radio 5 on yesterday afternoon and he said something like '...and Patrick Bamford, goodness me, what are you doing there? Hang your head in shame son. (or words to that effect)' His main point at the time was that Villa shouldn't really complain about the goal as it was their fault for not playing to the whistle.
