I posted summat along the lines of "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" when we were first being linked wi Phillips.Funny isn't it, reading the first few pages.
Very reasoned reply.Reality
Some of these signings are a terrible reflection, and indicate a very lazy, tired manager
But were the owners willing to spend transfer fees? Were they willing to move early for the better free agents? Were they willing to make any early signings at all?
It's a shambles, and Wilder's muddled through by 'playing it safe' as he'd see it
Cooper will still play every game for the rest of the season.Cooper will probably play every game for the rest of the season.
If Bamford gets injured though...
I don’t see how transfer fees come into it.Very reasoned reply.
The signings are a sign of the clubs position, not so much in stature, but in general, the recruitment is rank, I don’t just mean Wilder in that either, The entire set up is appalling, whether wilder is to blame entirely is debatable, his comments regards signing exclusively british/Irish players is damning.
It’s been clear for a while Wilders over it, he’s made his brass and probably has one eye on calling it a day.
I think the owners probably weren’t willing to spend the money, but the question remains as to why stick a bid on the table for Souttar if they weren’t, I think they’re clueless and we’d do well to get new owners asap as they’re taking us one way, but part of me (however naive) thinks they wouldn’t give Wilder the money as they see him as a “steady the ship, move him on” manager who can’t be trusted with money. His track record recently shows this, he’s made can’t spend money these days, even the frees are laughable.

Can't see what Bamford getting injured has owt to do with it.![]()
Abdulmalik can't even get a kick for djurgardens, not sure he would have stepped up in the slightestI don’t see how transfer fees come into it.
You take on Choudhury’s contract in 2.5m and Ayew on 500,000 a year on a free and they leave for nothing or you go for Abdulmalik for 1.5m fee and 10k per week on a three year deal and you’ve got an asset you can sell for a couple of years and a potential left wing option that we actually needed.
Those are choices of the management team. Same outlay for the club.
Fully agree regards spending the money, my point were more that Wilder chose how to use the money.I don’t see how transfer fees come into it.

What?
As they say, 'If you have to explain a joke to someone, they're as thick as fuck'
No, that's not right is it. It probably wasn't funny. Yeah, that's it!![]()
That's when my Mrs just shakes her head and carries on imagining what it might be like living with a slightly more grown up 64 year old! What about when the joke is so bad, nobody even knows it was a joke?

Yes.Notching goals at a great rate and putting his body on the line for them, but it still feels oddly transactional. Is there even a Bamford chant?
To be fair I haven’t attended a single United game while Patrick Bamford has been a United player so I sort of walked into that one.Yes.
Was sung again as he was doing off.
Just assuming we HAD bought Abdulmalik for the monies you suggested and he played in the fashion of Ndaiye, then we sold him, how many of our fans would have said "Well, that was good business from our owners"?I don’t see how transfer fees come into it.

Any news on his injury?
Our recruitment team is far too mentally deficient to think like thisI don’t see how transfer fees come into it.

Maybe so. He’s moved to a new country and they’re taking their time with him.Abdulmalik can't even get a kick for djurgardens, not sure he would have stepped up in the slightest
Direct quote from the medical and conditioning departmentNot yet, certainly looks to have buggered his shoulder a bit.
