This is a hot topic for Team Prest.
I’ve parked on the ‘triangle’ of paving slabs behind the railway – across from the tile place – for the last decade. My fatha for decades before that. Never a problem, as long as we’re earlyish there’s always space and never had so much as a grumble from anyone. Even of a weekday, there’s cars on it.
Saturday gone? Ticketed.
I’ve appealed it. Partly, as I’m not sure its actually part of the adopted/designated highway and partly because, if it is, there’s no signs to say I can’t park there. (there are signs 100 yard up the road, but they’re only relative to roadside parking as far as I can tell).
If my appeal is unsuccessful, I’ll be forced to give up a prime parking spot, a spit from the ground, that spans generations and was passed from father to son.
