Mixed bag. Expected the Palace reaction as he’s played fuck all. I think he’ll do fine with us. Remember similar vibes re: Souttar. Think Holding is Champ level and will fit in well. Up the Blades.

The transfer to Palace just seems like an Andy Butler / Geoff Horsfield situation. A fallout with the manager and that was that no way back.

Some Arsenal fans saying he was crap meanwhile with him they went and won the FA cup. 😄

So he's either a) absolutely shite or b) was a bit of a lucky charm but now absolutely shite. GLTTL

You are right, we don't need an experienced FA cup winning Premier League defender.

We should have got Ryan Porteous instead.
Based off those comments, he doesn’t look like a good signing. Really sorry if you have made a different assessment from the reviews of the fans of the club he’s been at for 2.5 years.

Bear in mind palace have had different managers in that time, never even close to a sniff of playing.

It's 1.5 years isn't it? And he's clearly had a falling out - but given that how can we put any weight on their judgement of him as a player?

True but I just don't think his time at Palace has gone well at all. Although I am fairly sure he was injured during Roy's time in charge.

Hope I’m wrong, but he’s going to need a long long time to get up to speed. We’re not strong enough at centre half unfortunately.

He played more for Arsenal than Trusty did so hopefully he’s an improvement on that.

Palace fans haven't really got a clue how good or bad he is.

Arsenal fans are judging him from the perspective of a top 4 Premier league side.

I think every player apart from maybe Clarke has had an overall negative feed back (apart from the entity) Let's wait and see.

Take these with a pinch of salt.

One club he was ex communicated from not long after arriving and those oh so notoriously easy to please Gunners fans!

He’ll probably love playing for a team that isn’t self-entitled!
