My biggest bugbear with Bramall Lane is our Kop, it was cheap and nasty (and lopsided) when Woolhouse did it on the cheap all those years ago and now it looks shabby too, that's even before I got onto the p***-poor leg room.

Ideally they should knock it down and start again, but if they're only ever going to add the extension at the back, please at least go to town with the facade, make it iconic, something that stands out on the horizon of Sheffield city centre, ensure it grabs every ones attention with its splendour. Don't make it tacky or blingy, make it classy and something for all Blades fans to be proud of.

I'd love them to do something a bit old fashioned with the facade if they ever rebuild the Kop. There's a building at the bottom of Duke Street, old red bricks, bit of grime, bit of character, probably Victorian. I'd have something like that. Maybe they could pay homage to another Sheffield landmark and have a 'Steelworker' esque brick mural of Wilder haha.. I like what Liverpool have done with their most recent rebuild, they've gone brick too. Just suits an area around houses better and ages better because it's not so obviously of it's time.

Have a bad feeling though that anything that gets done under Kev is going to be a white panel clad, red metalwork jobby with a shopping centre and a restaurant in it. His money so fair do's I suppose but I'd want something a bit less shiny.

No, not black paint - I used to walk into Doncaster buy fish at the market ... then come to watch the football. So it was probably shopping.

You may think its a barmy thing to have in one's sack, I don't disagree; but like as not I'd be hung over and unable to get going early enough to go to the market, take the produce back home to get in in the fridge and then get back to the railway station at Doncaster in time for the train to Sheffield.

In retrospect I own, it does seem like a muddled up way to live a life, thanks for asking.
