David Sadler scored the equalizer. Crowd was 45,045

I know Silent but thanks anyway. In actual fact, I was wrong about my pain starting in the 72nd minute, it probably started just before kick off when I found that Tony Currie wasn't playing!:(

He had facial injuries after driving his car onto a "keep left" sign at Eyre Street 10 days earlier. He was back in action for the 0-0 draw at Ipswich on 15th April

All I remember from that game was Beattie's late miss and going 2nil down.

Another example of why you should never wear next season's kit along with Wigan 2007 and Palace 1997

Anyone who's never said 'that's me fucking done' isn't a real Blade.

It's always followed by a quick walk away from the Lane, shouting, swearing or grumbling obscenities, followed by alcohol and then a 'fuk them' attitude is shown.

Next morning theres still a 'they've done with me' type attitude on display but it's softening. About early afternoon a quick peek at a Utd related article and then most have forgiven em by early evening. Next day the next match is being planned.

I liken sufc to my kids. I usually have enourmous pride in them, they can delight and frustrate me in equal measures, whilst i always want them to do very well. Sometimes they really shine and sometimes 'I have done with them' and I want to ring their bloody necks. A few hours later though and I'm back in love with them and immensely proud of them again. Sufc are to me my extra child.

Making the same mistake I always make at least once a season..
Namely taking an over-enthusiatic gobful of steak pie, realising as the gravy hits the roof of my mouth one microsecond later that there is indeed a substance hotter than the surface of the sun...
