For me, there are some good points raised regarding the failings in the squad, and I’ve been banging on for a long time regarding the recruitment being very poor for too long.

That seems to have been actioned and we have a new team in place, the rest will be what they can do under the parameters set. It’s those parameters we need to be concerned about.
Because if we couldn’t get in more than two decent players following promotion I struggle to believe we will release the funds to sign some top players following relegation. And one of those decent players will be off back to his old club!

BBD won’t be back. McAtee neither. Anel has bar maybe 2 games been dire and will want out.
We will be lucky to find a taker for Souza.

Sadly the reputational damage this season has done may harm our chances of getting in anyone with realistic ambitions of playing at the top level meaning we may yet again be shopping in a lower talent pool….and as we’ve seen this season it’s ended very badly.

I can confidently say this summer may well be the most demanding and difficult transfer window the club has faced in a very long time. So much to do with such a small team and timeframe to do it successfully. If we pull it off and have a season in the top 6 then someone will deserve a huge amount of credit as the manager alone cannot get the squad we will have at the end of the season performing to the required level, he’s going to need new players and a complete overhaul.

But that doesn't alter the fact that our best chance of getting back to the Premiership is potentially next season, whether or not our owner sees it like that I have know idea.
It might well be our best chance, but the more pertinent question is will this club give itself the best chance by recruiting well instead of squandering money on crap and expensive loans.

Our best chance for sure. Unfortunately I don't think we can realistically build a good enough squad. It would be up there with the 1st Wilder promotion imo

We'll rightfully be one of the favourites for promotion and we'll be a big draw for any player that's not played in the Prem, good enough for the Prem, or is tipped to be a superstar.

We won't mid table at best I'll take that. What's the point in going up to be embarrassed week after week. Unless we have an owner with deep pockets who can match the fans ambitions seriously what's the point. A few decent performances cannot erase some damaging battering s this season.

while agreing with you about going back to the premier league i think we will be far better than mid table with 3 or 4 good signings 4 teams in the current championship would beat us and thats the top 4 now 3 of which will be in the premier league crucial summer coming up for the club regarding recruitment

MONEY Mate money .I have NEVER been a lover of the prem and before a ball was kicked this season I think most of us knew what type of season it would be . Giving other clubs a 5 game start did not help but without us gaining a place in the top league I dread to think what state the club would have been in without the cash that came with promotion .

And here we go again, promotion will be needed next season as we can't afford the losses remaining as a Championship club.

And if we succeed in doing just that, we then can't afford to compete at Premier League level. Between a rock and a hard place I'd say.

We need a very wealthy new owner/backer to alleviate being in such a position.

He won’t come to us. 2 point deduction makes it look like we are tinpot. Be harder to attract players now.
