I always liked Paddy, and to be fair QPR met the release clause after that it was pretty much done deal that he would leave regardless of the faith Sheffield United put in him, Warnock probably had a bunch of cakes delivered to his house as literally a sweetener..

A picture that is a little unfair on Paddy but Hay Ho....

Bloody hell, if you can be that shape and still play I might just have to dust them off *

*Oh bollocks I've just remembered, I'm too old too :(

Right, OK. We'll have to agree to disagree about whether it was a mistake or showboating. It's at 1:16:00 here, if you're interested:

).

Either way, I agree that it was bad and it cost us two points. However, as I said, I'm sure that you could find mistakes (or showboating gone wrong) by any player, including Currie, Deane, etc. The further up the field you play, the more fans tend to forget the errors, which is why strikers and attacking midfielders are invariably the fans' favourites.

Thanks for going to the effort of finding it and putting it on here..

JUST FUCKIN CATCH THE THING YOU TWAT!! .. he's fuckin around with it, either trying to knock it over johnsons head or catch it with one hand

The difference being is that when forwards are showboating it doesn't generally cost a goa/points against their team

Any player is allowed mistakes, he was just being a fuckwit with that

So no anti Fennooty views are to be tolerated then? Man up, its supposed to be a discussion board.

On this subject I happen to agree with Tyler Durden. If that is a 'fan club' in your mind then so be it, but it is a puerile comment, presumably intended to stifle discussion.

The difference between a lot of posters and Tyler Durden is that he can dish it as well as take it which is why I don't mind exchanging views with him even though I rarely agree. The exchanges can be quite barbed sometimes but he doesn't get the mards on like some and start getting personal. If you are in agreement with him so much then you need to try taking a leaf out of his book.

Aww shucks  :)

I've never felt worse as a Blade than I did at Chelsea in 1994.

Bad as it was, I am surprised.

Pig away 2008, Port Vale home 2000, Oldham home 1988, Scunthorpe home 2015 left me feeling just as bad in that 'no hope left' way.

You are at it again telling me what to do. Why not read your own post:

Plenty on here have given me some back and I've done likewise so I really don't think I have a problem with that.

It seems like your version of 'taking it' is a peculiar one whereby you lecture and the recipient thanks you for your sage advice.

Put me on ignore by all means, but please stop telling me what to do.

Well, speaking personally, out of everything we've had to put up with I've never felt worse as a Blade than I did at Chelsea in 1994. That was due to the sale of Deano, no question.
Naively, although in shock, I expected to come straight back up. I think I felt much worse in 2007 because I knew it was coming.

Nothing will come close to leaving a certain ground in 1979,and having to walk to the girlfriends house in Crookes, knowing that her gob shite Dad(RIP)the worst kind of Wednesdayite, would be waiting for me,Cardiff in 2003 was a bit of a downer as well

As I've said previously, that's fine and he is free to do that. He just shouldn't expect the red carpet to be rolled out when the prodigal fat twat drug user comes back home.
So is it because hes fat ? cough syrup taker ? twat ? he left for money ? or his ability ? for which reason do you hate him so much ?

I always said that one of the reasons why we were able to hang on to Kenny so long was that he didn't look like what people thought a good keeper should look like, even though he was, and that put teams off trying to sign him. Warnock, to give him credit, knew better.

Gabor Kiraly of Hungary, who looks like someone's Dad playing a game in an emergency 10 years after he last played, is another example of a keeper underrated due to his appearance.
Tracksuit from Matalan.

Funny I felt slightly less bad because you could see it coming. All the elements were falling into place in the last 2 weeks, and when I saw who was taking Wigan's penalty I knew we were done.

Chelsea was like watching an unexpected disaster unfold in front of you.

Has it crossed anyone's mind that Paddy might read this thread? How do you think he'd feel reading comments like "thick as pig shit"? On second thoughts, I think we're OK, as anything other than Ladybird books are a bit of a challenge to him*

*Sorry Paddy if you do read this, its all in jest. Well mostly :)

Away wins in Poland, France, Belgium etc. Soviet Union did them some favours early on too.

The hard pitches in Russia did for him

The Russian linesman and his 10 million mates managed an unlikely late win. From then on it was away defeats in North Africa, Italy, France the Low Countries to the Yanks* and finally a home defeat to the Russians.

*Outside of Hollywood I believe the Brits did a little bit and the Canadians spent some time on a beach too.

Alternatively, if Piers Morgan reads this thread, I hope he enjoys the Cat Shit I regularly Fed Ex to him.
