The story on the O/S is entitled: "Goalie options widen".

Maybe there's a new Fatty Foulke on the way....

Why else would Blackwell go to the trouble of naming his top secret targets on the official site.....? QUOTE]

Maybe he's trying to force Simonsen's agent's hands by saying that there are other options out there.

Not sure why he'd need to do that via our official website rather than a mobile phone call. Seems more likely to be preparing our fans for the letdown to me.

Whoever is cheapest will come sod his ability, United have a problem now billy wants to stay they are 1m worse off and will not be buying any players now. Free only and cheap wages

I heard yesterday from a very good source who actually talked to Paddy himself & these words are from Paddy himself, that when Paddy was still surving his ban he knew that he was going to be appearing in the last 2 games of the season. He was also told that QPR had made an offer for him when Warnock had took over & was told by the club that he should accept this offer. What I want to know is who? Blackwell, Birch Or McCabe. It also stink's to me how Billy has been pushed out of the club as well, for the finance's, & I was also told that we owe McCabe through the hotel & other loans as well & he is charging the club at 10% on the debt which amonuts to £2-million per year, could this be where most of our recent money has been disappearing too.

That doesn't make sense, from memory I don't recall the accounts showing McCabe taking 10% or anywhere near. I stand to be corrected of course

McCabe doesn't charge any interest on his loans and he confirmed it at the fans forum a few months back.

I seem to recall a relatively recent radio interview where McCabe said he doesn't take a penny in interest from his loans.

Too right. And Billy's playing up front this season n'all.

To be fair to McCabe he said he'd like to see Billy at United, and that he thought any personal clash with Blackwell wouldn't be allowed to prevent his staying.

But if any player of ours is less than 12 months from the end of his contract and unlikely to re-sign, then we're always going to accept a decent offer. I genuinely think £1m is good money for him.

After calming down a bit, i've got to admit that JohnDenver is correct, if a player has only 12 months left on his contract & he won't resign then getting money for him is a bonus considering at the end of the season nowt.
