I guess you have a vault of hundreds of pages of fans views on Dan Burn that will never see the light of day.Love to say I'm like Superman at collecting views but in all honesty it's been a lazy day so collected them when the rumour started earlier today.

They seem to be really bitter towards him because he got Northampton promoted but couldn't get them up. Not being funny but if Appleton couldn't get them promoted with those players on that budget he should have been tried for fraud. One new comment posted since I collected these views is "Gotta laugh at Wilder". This comment comes after they all say he was brilliant for them
Obviously a lower league player and we are a lower league team at present so if he maybe lacks a bit of technical nous let's not get on his back as he sounds like a really good squad player and if Mr Wilder rates him that's good enough for me and hopefully other blades. After some of the weak bellied players we've had recently it will be nice to see a whole hearted player.Could be a Bob Booker style legend and we know what he was a big part of.Deffo sounds like a squad player and JTP (or whatever it's called now) player. Been brought in for his old head by the sounds of it.
To be honest, its not much of a step up between league 2 and 1. So if he is reliable in league 2 then he should be fine in league 1.A few worrying signs - the recurrent back injury, the doubts about ability to step up a division.
Barney the OxMore good reading.
“He was crap anyway” ?manager's view?
Totally agree with this, look at Burton last year - and how much the relegated league 1 sides struggled in league 2.To be honest, its not much of a step up between league 2 and 1. So if he is reliable in league 2 then he should be fine in league 1.
I'll stick to my guns and say that signings of players over the age of 27 should either be for the first team (and should be a key player really) or they should be younger and potentially a key first team player in the medium term.
No one can predict the outcome of any signing, but settling for short term guaranteed mediocrity is what has held us back for years.
Delighted with the O'Connell and Fleck signings, but it's a preliminary thumbs down from me for Wilson and Jake Wright.
We need a tighter recruitment policy. Sign either experienced players to go into the heart of the first team, or make an investment in a player who can get better.
The recruitment policy is to get us out of league 1 . That is the only thing that is be all and end all.
