Where is the game changing investment?!.......So that we can think "Liverpool".
Mr McCabe those were your words........if you want us to trust you, then deliver and give Chris Wilder the backing he deserves.

Wasn't "think Liverpool" uttered by Jim Phipps? Could be mistaken, my memory isn't great for things I take with a pinch of salt.

I'm fairly sure Phipps said that, not McCabe. Still.....the manager does need more money.

Based on what has been discussed and how many times it has been discussed - this OP is trolling at it's worst.

Wonder if the poster will actually re-appear to discuss the points raised?

What we really need now is another thread uttering complete bollocks about our ownership...

Right, I'm off to have a crystal meth and sambucca enema.

Yeah, what do you want to discuss.....McCabe promised investment when we got out of league 1 ...have you seen much of it.....answer no.......we were also told to think "Liverpool".... now I don't for one minute expect gerrard...but the comment created the illusion that they would invest sizeably...to date they haven't...what else do you want to discuss?

Dear supporter,

The work is in progress.

Hugs and kisses,

Kev and Abbers

edit: go and read post #12

He never said where this game changing investment would be spent, when he said "think Liverpool", he actually meant the investment in chengdu town centre

I'm not really sure, how about who would win in a fight between King Kong and Godzilla?

Seriously though, I'd wait until the window closes, maybe CW has a few aces up the sleeve yet to play (hopefully anyway).

Early days with results so far, it has played out pretty much as I expected. I'd hoped for a win against Brentford, I think both Cardiff and Boro games away were tough as they will both be at least top 6 at the end of the season. Barnsley winnable but it's a derby and they are always tough to predict.

I thought there was a general understanding that we wouldn't spend a crazy amount of money in L1, holding the bulk of it back till we were promoted. It's possible that the extended stay in L1 simply ate away at the held-back cash, though with the Murphy/Maguire/Walker winfalls you'd expect that to still be a reasonable amount of cash.

Perhaps JimPhipps might refresh us on what the original plan had been, and therefore help clarify what sort of expectations we should have.

Might be bollocks to you and a few others...but not to me and many others.....I will post what I feel relevant
Ok I'll humour you...

What do you actually want? A Jordan Rhodes or similar...

Or perhaps have a little faith in the manager and the owners to deliver what they talked about at the end of last season. By all accounts, it's happening.

Wilder has talked of additional signings, the struggles with getting players in and whilst we've signed a bunch of players that Wilder thinks are going to be adequate, additional players are being bid for.

So again, 3 games into a new season folllowing a pretty much record breaking one, what are you actually wanting to happen.

This isn't FIFA, this isn't champ manager

Maybe we should hire Jeremy Corbyn as according to Theresa May he knows of the existence of a "magic money tree"

My sources telll me have plenty in the kitty available to spend.
However it's a new division and we don't fully know how our current players will perform and what's needed.

So we are mindful NOT to blow the whole budget in the early stages of the season, especially when some of the targets (like Leonard) are risks because he's never played in the Championship.

However by the end of the JTW people will be surprised and pleased about what we've spent.
I have no issues at the moment regards the strategic common sense approach. I suspect Jan18 is when we show that we mean business as by then Wilder should know exactly what's required.

Will they?

Hope this is the case. Promotion was never a remote possibility despite one or two trying to make people believe it was, and you'd hope we already have enough to keep our heads above water.

All about building for the next 2 or 3 years now for me.

I have confidence that as soon as Tufty deems a signing necessary, then the funds will be there. Up until that point, we will have to sit tight and trust in CW's managerial ability.

Especially taken anally.
An old mate of mine used to shag that Justine Whatsherface out of Elastica, before Damon Albam had her. Apparently she used to get him to blow cocaine up her arsehole before having sex. Said she was mad for it afterwards.

Carry on...
