Love the passion! I agree with your sentiment that there's far too many negative Blades. There's lots of reasons for that but I think that's largely the years of let down from chairman mainly. But it's football, it means a lot but at the same time if people are negative now then they've got short memories to when we've had much bigger problems like you said. I remember at school in the 90's thinking Wednesday would rule over United pretty much for ever, then Wednesday spent loads of money on foreign expensive players and binned of one of them for £1m - Di Canio. That's definitely cost them! A thing of beauty! That push by Di Canio was the beginning of decline for them.

We're embarking on another season in the PL, the atmosphere at every match we play, especially at home needs to be electric, non stop singing. There was a match last season against Wigan, we were winning 1 - 0, but you'd think we were losing. I was about 10 rows down and turned to those behind me and shouted SHEFFIELD UNITED, SHEFFIELD UNITED, SHEFFIELD UNITED! Some joined in, but not enough, maybe I just looked like a madman! I hope I don't have to do that this season, everyone needs be singing. If you're on that Kop please sing and chant constantly unless you physically can't.

It's the one thing I admire about wendy supporters', their club fluked promotion last season then they sacked the manager, while we gained promotion with games to spare.,
They will be expecting a place in at least the top six.
While most of our lot will be expecting us to lose every game and that's before the season even starts..
What affect will that have on the players ?

Yeah but other teams to whom this happens have generally overspent or broken the rules (I have sympathy for Middlesboro and Swindon who were both excessively punished), whilst United get punished for other people cheating or have pandemics or world wars that interfere with us.

United ruled the roost throughout the 70s until five days from the end of the decade.
Trying to hide the mess the club's in by shouting anyone who criticises should fuck off to Hillsborough is bizarre.
