I am loving Hull's over confidence. Over the last week I've seen articles in which Steve Bruce has been quoted saying he had joked with their keeper that if he's only out for 6 weeks "he'll be fit for the final in 7 weeks" and that they will fight Sagbo's FA charge as they "have semi finals and finals coming up"

I don't think it will make a difference. Hull will still have too many good players. Aston Villa were the opposite they had given up on it and Fulham have been crap all season. Our main weapon is that we do have a chance and that we play super fast counter attack football. Hopefully the amount of games hasn't taken too much out of our players and that they have all been rested enough with the rotation.

Think you should carry on watching the steelers a little more, an take your negativity with you and share it with the 10 other steelers fans!! Or is that the sharks logo? Either way I take no interest in these American 'sports', prob sharks looking at it?! Yawn

I'm not negative I fully expect to enjoy the day with my missus and kids win or lose. I just think talking it up is pointless. We have a chance we may get fortunate and I really hope we do, it would be phenomenal and something amazing to see us in the final. Its just that there are loads of posts on here talking about this and that reason why Hull won't be as good as they usually are in the prem.
Its a futile exercise. I just want to enjoy the day seeing the team I love at Wembley having earned the right to be there through a great run, if we win, fantastic.
As regards the Steelers I haven't seen them for around 13 years. I used to go to the odd match but since its a very poor relation to the NHL (bottom of the pyramid compared to Barcelona) its not really worth watching them. Seth would disagree but what does he know.

Agree with you you in some aspects, but why shouldn't we big our selves up we've had the hardest route in term of leagues an stature and maybe just maybe we can get to the holy grail?! Surely us blades deserve to believe an hope, after all 'it's a way of life'.....

Nothing wrong with blind optimism, there really isn't, but the realistic view needs to be represented as well or else we become like Wendy, the ones that booked hotels for the 12th/13th weekend thinking the semi was a forgone conclusion. We have never been the arrogant ones. I think we have loads to be optimist about in the next few seasons. I believe we will have a great season next season and start to climb up the leagues.
The reason I follow hockey is I lived in Canada for a while and the team became my surrogate Blades. I still follow their results but they can never take the place of the RAWW.

My hopes are for next season but I still pray an hope just for a little miracle on the 13th.. By the way i'd love to go to Canada, what's it like for holidaying? Winter time?!

Awesome, but I would go in the summer there's loads more to do. I was on a ship based in Victoria BC. The skiing is good in the winter, so they tell me I used to watch the hockey, but whilst there I went horse trekking in the forest, bungee jumping into a river gorge, saw the Indycar racing, walked in the mountains, played softball against the Canadian navy and had great parties with the girls from the Canadian navy in the evenings, the bars are great in Canada much better than the States as folk go for social reasons not just to drink, whale watching in the straights was amazing and the wildlife around there is amazing also. I would go back but my missus won't let me for personal reasons.

was it the "partying with the canadian navel girls in the evening" she wasnt so keen on?

Sounds like a great life to me.

I think Id give us little chance if Hull had Doyle and Jellybitch available , but they had trouble scoring before they came and our strong point is keeping clean sheets , so I give us a 1 in 2 chance of winning, , and if the beards on song theyve no chance .

Not negative at all, yuley - just a fair assessment and I think we are all realistic about our chances

It's good to go there with no pressure for a change.

Both, I reckon. I know quite a few who've grown a "Brayford". Me? I'll be the Man in the Hairy Mask!

I've grown one and so far have managed to look more like David Bellamy than our marauding, swashbuckling defender. Short of using colouring or reversing nature's ageing process, I don't see it improving by next weekend.

Heard that ZZ Top are big fans of Brayford...:)

Does that include the one who doesn't have a beard, who I seem to remember, is called Beard?

Fantastic country. A spring trip touring the Rockies is one of my favourite memories. Scenery stunning, wild life amazing and people friendly. We B&B'd that way you meet locals who can give tips on what to see etc. Saw a grizzly, family of brown bears, deer, elk, moose! Have been many times since and never disappointed.

Missus likes U.S. I'm now thinking Canada seems to have more to offer.

Amongst other things however that was before we were going out. They really liked to party those girls.
