Like most I tend to focus on incomings but are we at risk of losing anyone? Can't see Sharp going anywhere even with his ever improving goals tally.

Can see some milage in O'conell to Burnley but would he want to join a struggling side?

Can't see us bringing in a new striker and keeping our current 3 so Clarke out on loan?

Can't see anyone wanting our bad buys like Holmes or Carruthers, would we mutually agree to terminate?
If United/ JOC turned down Brighton’s advances in the summer when things were looking just ok at United. Then JOC would be mad to leave a side so high on confidence, playing lovely, exciting football and with a real chance of going up if we can just kick on...

To leave for Burnley over Brighton would be a bit daft and entirely money orientated

The only person at risk I think I would be Lundstram if we get 4 in rather than 3. Other than that I don’t think we can risk losing anyone.

Rumours that Washington is homesick so see how that pans out
Oh that old chestnut eh? "Homesick". Hmm!

Wife can't settle? Maybe? Shall we throw that one in?

"Didn't realise that Sheffield was in the north and it's a long way from the south?" How about that one as well? :)

Who comes out with all these crap rumours? I sometimes wonder if there's a little rumour factory somewhere in Sheffield where some mischievous elf makes these stories up.

Sounds as though Lafferty has already gone (to P'boro). Looks like JOC may have to play v Barnet after all unless Bryan is fit.

That would be an excellent signing for Peterborough.

Lafferty leaving would mean Johnson is staying.

Jake Wright is a possible alternative v Barnet, if he's fit. Would be good to give him a farewell.

A good move all round. As assessed by Burnley before joining Utd, he's a L1 level player. Think he'll do well for P'boro in a more traditional back 4 rather than LWB where I always thought he looked uncomfortable.

For the benefit of those who don't speak Italian as well as what I do:-

<< It's time for the transfer and Palermo looks around the hunt for an attacker to complete the advanced department. Numerically, it would serve a fourth tip to be flanked with Nestorovski (which will return to the group when returning from the park), Puscas and Moreo and, according to The Courier of the Sport, the Rosa have set their eyes on Billy Sharp but the director of the technical area Rosanero, Rino Foschi, has denied any kind of negotiation.

The new English property would like to give an Anglo-Saxon touch to Palermo and so thought of the current top scorer of the Championship (13 goals with the Sheffield United third in the standings and with which it went to sign even in yesterday's Day). To curb the negotiation, however, is the age of the English center forward that in February will accomplish 33 years.

The qualities of striker by Sharp, however, are not discussed given the 208 goals achieved in the 476 appearances between Serie B and Serie C english cone The links of Sheffield, Scuntorphe, Doncaster, Southampton, Leeds and Nottingham.

The philosophy of Rosanero market, in fact, aims at players a little ' younger and immediately adaptable to the league of Serie B considered the little time to acclimatate. Despite the denial, however, the name Sharp is to be recorded: The Palermo begins hunting the attacker.

02/01/2019 15:21 If there is one thing that does not need the Palermo is of a striker of the English B of 33 years, assuming that it is possible to take it with the segments left in the crate...

02/01/2019 17:02 serve 2 midfielders, a central defender, a fullback and a attacking midfielder who can replace Falletti and Trajkovski when one of them is absent. Players in the category, if the goal is the series a prove it mica we can not think of improving this team, I remember that last year we closed the first forward Girona in the standings and then..... >>

While no doubt tongue in cheek, don’t discount serious / significant interest that may just test the club, if not the player. Which by itself may unsettle fat lad.

Enter Mr washer dryer to upset the apple cart yet further. !

I hope I am wrong on this, and given the circumstances of his current importance and role in the side it does seem bizarre, but I can seriously see Sharp gone by the end of the month.

I have always maintained that Wilder does not really rate him. Irrespective of what gets spun in the media.

What are you on and do you get it on prescription or from some shifty bloke in the stairwell of a block of council flats?

Hold on. I'm sat in Barrow Boys* with Wilder, Leon, the Goal Machine and Alan Biggs and that lot are all doing Billy Sharp jokes and piss take songs about him - Shot Legs isn't funny, on the karaoke machine. His dog is tied up outside the Wimpy Bar on Commercial Street * being fed cold chips by Alan Knill.

I never believed Dronnie even though he knows more about football than anyone but it looks as if he was right that Wilder hates Billy .

* This bit may not be true.

Scoff as much as you wish.

Any of you stop for a moment to consider who is out of work, as things stand, in May ?

That while there has been “talk” of new contracts, nothing has come out as yet ?

Think you will find that we have options to extend the said contracts

Aware.

And that this applies to a couple of others as well.

And so my question remains, why no news ?
What messages are said players getting ?
How close is all of this ?
Given that it’s now just a few months, is this not somewhat of a gamble / not “protecting” our investments ?

I’m sure something will come out soon. But part of me DOES still think that said contract options might be being influenced by our proximity to the PL !!

Time will tell.

Question.

And a genuine one.

Why did you replace the words in my quote “doesn’t rate” for the word you chose to use instead, “hate” ?

Genuinely interested Sean.

Say what you will but your crusade against Leon since day one has been very fucking weird.

CW & AK are wanting to push the club forward - he never tires of expressing this, but some of our fans don't seem to realise what it means.

It means some of our favourites - like Clarke may be moved on. The same will happen to Fleck (as discussed on another thread) and Billy (eventually).

It's going to be very hard for some - all depends where you want the club to be.

Where's the Fleck chat? Would love to see it. I understand Billy and Clarke being moved on at some point, but Fleck's one of the guys who I think could cut it in the Premier League.

It certainly wasn't about Fleck leaving - and I agree about him being capable of going up a level - but it's a thread "What's wrong with John Fleck" - primarily about his recent form and being subbed on Saturday.
