Hammond and Woolford were paid off. A very large expense rather than a saving, but don't let that hinder your economic genius

My economic genius says that this should have been factored into the budget that Tufty was given BEFORE Adams was sold, by any Board with a basic level of sense.

The proceeds of the Adams sale should be new proceeds as he wasn't sold until recently.

The pay-off for Hammond & Woolford should be the responsibility of the Board as it was their incompetence which led to us being saddled with them in the first place !! o_O

If we had waited a bit longer, let him play a few games at the start of the season his value would have increased.

Forest sold a 19 year old for 13 million yesterday. He had played and scored less than Che.

We got a shit deal for Che if we still don't have sufficient funds to strengthen.
True but have you seen Burke? He's fucking immense in the Championship. Tbf, haven't seen that much of him but from what I have he looked like the hottest prospect in the Championship. Powerful, fast, skilful.

Che's value would only increase if he played better than last year and there's no guarantee that he would. He's a talented young player but I'm not convinced he was committed enough to us.

Like McNulty and others, I got the impression they were taking the piss a bit last year, not working hard enough in training, not always leaving the pitch having given everything and spending too much time on the lash. So fuck em. Che may go on to be a top player or he may revert to type and slowly decline until he's dicking around in the lower leagues like other hot prospects such as Baxter, Cadamateri and all those other talented kids who don't have the mental strength to be a successful top level footballer.

So, in short, you agree then? He has presided over one of the most dismal declines in this club's recent history, rivalling the descent to div four in the early eighties. You also agree that since he has done thus, he is also difficult to remove as his tendrils are wrapped around much of that the club is, as a footballing concern. That's 'McCabe' himself and his companies, rather than items being owned collectively by a series of shareholders major and minor, who have significant influence in investments, budgets, appointments and other such piffling trivia.

Glad of that.

pommpey

No. Far too simple. But you know that really don't you!? :D;)
