so if we are shipping in 4/5/6 loans we need to ship out 4/5/6 for balance

we are already too heavy in the number of forwards already and there is talk of wingers

We’ve signed a defender but have the numbers already

too many squad players and not enough starting 11

so, how’s for the chop (and please ‘not all of them after last nights performance’)

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see one or two of the regulars going, I'm thinking of McGoldrick, Fleck or Brewster as the most likely. I just can't see how we can have 4 forwards on the bench, that's just a waste for all concerned.

Agreed not only are they a drain on wages but they are blocking some of the youth players from stepping up.

If we sign 4/5 players that means that some of our current first teamers drop to the bench and push any prospects further down the pecking order.

If the youth players were good enough they'd have stepped up surely? If they get pushed down the pecking order it's because they aren't deemed good enough not to be.

Stay - Egan, Lopata, Gordon, plus two experienced heads one being nasty bastard.

To go - N/A
Stay - Baldock and Bogle

Midfield -

To go - Norwood, Freeman. Slater and Brunt (out on loan).
Stay - Berge, Osborn and Fleck, plus 3 wide players and 2 centre midfielders.

CF -

To go - Smith, Mousett, Didzy and Burke go, with Sharp (give him player/coaching role).
Stay - Brewster, McBurnie, Jebbo, Ndiaye. Add a big fucker, and a poacher.

Ins - 9 includes - 2x CBs, 5x midfielders and 2x strikers

I feel it’s important to keep some of the experience around in the team, I would love the likes of Basham and Sharp to stay around in some capacity, because losing them would feel like losing a part of our DNA. Fleck just gets the nod over Norwood because I still have hope he can show us what he’s really all about and he loves a tackle. Get rid of Fodders. Bring in new keeper

Unfortunately we should have no sentiment when doing this

We'll probably have to send out a player on loan and pay some of the wages! I can only see Rangers offering a route out for Fleck or a smaller Champ club for some of the others or a club abroad for Brewster maybe. Either way I think we're going to have to cut numbers from this bloated squad somehow.

Jack, havent all the players taken a huge wage cut after relegation so wages may not be an issue, ive no idea on wages but think a huge cull is nessesary
