Brayford is a class act, give him time and you will discover what a talented player he really is,followed him through Crewe,to Derby,to Cardiff and the latter didn't deserve him,Cloughie knows when he sees a really good player, your team did really well yesterday congratulations, as yet ime not a Sheffield fan, but I could get used to it with players like John Brayford, but I don't think that John is a real defender I would love to see him through the midfield but Mr Clough is more knowledgable in these matters than I .
But once again well done

Are you his mum or his gran?

Neither, just some one who knows a real good player when they see one,and if you watched the game last night and didn't see it,you must have been wearing blinkers

The only low score I would give would be Howard, 5/10. He didn't have much to do to earn a high score like the rest, his distribution was woeful but there was one punch from a corner that impressed me as I thought had it been Long he'd have flapped and put it on the head/boot of an opponent.

I disagree with the low score. I actually put on Twitter that I was very impressed with Howard and he actually gave me confidence that he was going to keep a clean sheet. Something Long hasn't had me feeling for a while now. I particularly liked how Howard was quick off his line and did a good job of sweeping up behind the defence, another weakness of Long's. His kicking was poor, but this can be resolved by the full backs getting wide in league games, when we aren't (or shouldn't be) on the back foot, giving him the option to throw it out. He'd be a definite starter for me next game.

for me Brayford was top drawer, esp as he hasn't played much recently, he played like a right back and right midfield rolled into one, superb performance.

Harris for me didn't look that great, his free kick looked close tho.

McGuire and Collins were awesome. Howards kicking was dire, but he was fine aside from that.

Scougall looks good but more of a winger to me. McGinn did great, Coady was ok, but made some poor choices with the ball.

Murphy was good but ran out of steam, Flynn was good and never stops running. Im over the moon Miller scored, I thought he should have been up front and Baxter dropped back. Baxter was ok, but that free kick is still going! Hill did ok, still think he's better at centre half.

Cant believe you say that Harris didn't look up to much ,he is a massive improvement on anything weve had at left back since the Kyles left. Kassim couldn't handle it and eventually switched wings ,I feel you are comparing him unfairly with Brayford.. Also disagree hugely about Scougall ,he would be wasted out wide and Is a natural centre midfielder in all aspects of his play.

I completely agree that he should keep his place, you can't drop a keeper that has kept a clean sheet especially against such opposition. Perhaps my score was a little low, but I do think he did a lot of good things but I only mentioned one. However the distribution was enough to bring it down for me, a handful and I could let it go, but I counted 5 kicks straight to Stockdale and there were nearly as many if not as many out to touch. Any outfield player who gave up possession so cheaply so often in a game would be getting a real hiding from us. That's why I scored so low, but I see what you are saying.

Sitters, scougall is definitely a central midfielder for me too. Thought he was excellent.

What I'm surprised by, as far as I can see, is that we haven't commented on Doyle's absence?

Our midfield kept their shape, but then so did the whole team. I think we're far too quick to criticise, and of course, as paying customers we're entitled to criticise, but perhaps we need to get behind the team for the remainder of the season. That's not a clapper's hymn, just the thought that Clough needs time and so do new formations. I can already anticipate those angry retorts that we don't have time - well I've got news, we've certainly mastered the art of the obvious.

Only recently there was a thread suggesting Miller's days were numbered, yet after beating Fulham it seems he's just what we've been missing. I hope Shaun gets more chances to show what he can do, but with the grains of sand rapidly slipping through the hourglass I know a lack time will make many of us experience a sense of desperation and we'll hear the howls of agony from one end of Sheffield to the other. Our next four games, all at home unless I'm wrong, are possibly make or break moments in our season. The players stole a wage last Saturday when they lost to Crewe, against Fulham they deserved to be paid. Now those same players need to put their chests out and approach each game without fear. We need a minimum of 8-9 points from those matches, my fingers are crossed we will see the type of winning performance we saw at Fulham UTB

I think Miller has been suffering from a lack of sleep lately as his partner had a baby about a month a go. Averaging about 4 hours sleep at night apparently. That is what he was saying on Look L**ds earlier.

Regarding the kicking ,he was obviously told (rightly) to keep it away from the Fulham centre halves ,he didn't have a great deal to aim for. His kicking is much better than Longs anyway. I just felt the defence were much more confident with Howard behind them ,Long needs a rest ,he may come back much stronger.

The late night suited him then , thats why he was so alert :)

Yeah I guess so. Perhaps I'm guilty of looking at it too simply.

He should definitely start v Shrewsbury and perhaps that will be a better opportunity for us to see how well he fares as the tactics will be different to last night.

Thought that the scores should be much higher. They did a great job last night, really organised and created chances (and scored) against players who are regarded as being premier league quality.

Thought that Howard was really confident, Maguire and Brayford being joint MOM.

Fans amazing too, we were singing along :)

fair enough if you disagree, that's just my view. Scougall looks good, but he's v light weight and small, I could see him getting
muscled out of the game v easily in centre mid esp in the air which is v important.

Harris could come good and i hope he does, but so far im not convinced. Youre right that its unfair to compare him to Brayford tho.
