Out Of Contract Players

Just been browsing the official PFA list of released players, I reckon there's a couple who could definitely do a job.

The ones which caught my eye;

Nicky Shorey (LB) - Experienced player, scores/creates goals. Fitness perhaps an issue.
Davide Somma (CF) - Seemed rated at Leeds but suffered with injuries. Worth a punt?
Stephen Hunt (LB) - Yes, a grade one tosser but no denying that he can be a very good little player when on form.
Ebanks Blake (CF) - I know he's been mentioned before and fitness will be the main issue, but if fit he'll surely bag a few in this league.
Patrick Kisnorbo (CB) - Highly rated but not played much football over the last year or so. 32 years old isn't bad for a league 1 defender, signing him could give a Harry a kick up the arse.
Chris Baird (LB) - Very wishful thinking, granted. However, money does talk & by all accounts we've got plenty to converse with.
Simon Davies (RM) - Great crosser of the ball, could help rectify the absolutely woeful service the forwards have been receiving from the flanks. Bit of a step down to league 1 though.

What do we reckon? Any to add?

I would give him a deal till xmas on a pay as you play contract. If hes wank then we dont pay him anything.

Always thought that Ebanks Blake sounded more like a sweeper than a striker.

Anyway, FWIW I think he is washed up and would be a liability.

Jay Simpson spent a trial with us for a week. As theres been nothing of any deal im guessing he wasn't offered a contract.

Jake Jervis's twitter says he is still in England but I guess we didn't offer him a contract either. I assume he will continue trialling at other L1 clubs until someone takes him
