Daniel Bogdanovic - worth a shout, but willl he want too much money?
Anderson Silva - always looked tidy when ive seen him, and he's got good height, something we lack in the middle.
Hameur Bouazza - quick and tricky, never really fulfilled his potential - but backpool will keep i reckon.
John Oster - my boss is a donny season ticket holder - rates him highly, always liked him myslef - more of a squad player maybe?
Youl Mawene - he'd be a quality signing - won their player of the year several times, knows this division - good partner for morgan.
07 Nicky Butt - only if monty goes - probably want too much cash
10 Akos Buzsaky - he'll want too much cash and probably will get renewed
7 Leon Britton - worth a look.
6 Jay DeMerit - what i said about mawene!

the only problem is, i cant see any of this a happening, ah well. shame O'Driscoll isnt out of contract.

I'd be willing to lay money on Daniel Bogdanovic being a Blade next season. I know nothing either. I just think it's nailed on for some reason.

Are you on drugs? What ever you are taking can you get me some? :)

What about Brown and Tonge get them back too?

The irony here being that the three players mentioned (Kozzy being the other one) are all better footballers than we have at present.

I am staggered to keep seeing Nicky Butt's name appear; he is the complete opposite of what we need at SUFC.

First job is to work on keeping the likes of Monty, Naysmith and Camara for me without paying silly money. If Naysmith is a no-no, then Donny's Gareth Roberts could be a good move.

Would like to see us go for DeMerit, Mawene or Riggott for sure as well as Sam Hird - young Donny centre back. Controversially, Simek from the Pigs if he can prove his fitness would be a good one.

I'd accept a move for Bogdanovic on sensible money. Twelve goals with the Dingles is not a bad record in comparison to the rest there. He'd be a good option for our strike force.

Would love to see us go for Hameur Bouazza too. We need an out and out left winger with pace. Have done for years.

Sign the three with the longest names. Give them two digit squad numbers. Punters will buy shirts with Oppodoppoulous 69 on the back in their thousands, thus ensuring a much bigger influx of cash than if we'd signed Nicky Butt and given him number 8. Problem solved. No need for thanks.:D:D:D

I would have Shaun Derry back, he has been a top end Championship player for years, and he can still put his foot on the ball and play a simple pass. Saw the Palace match last night and he was excellent.

Striker wise, i think Clinton Morrison would be a superb signing

Is the fact that Newcastle and West Brom are top of the league and have hardly any players out of contract due to a settled and happy squad. Or just that their players are better and deserve a contract.

Their parachute payments shield them from having to make decisions based on what league they will be playing in next season, so they can afford to sign players up.

I would snap up Danny Butterfield like a shot. Quality right back, with Naysmith on the left (hopefully) and a decent partner for Morgan, we would have the best back 5 in the division.

i'd go for Buzsaky..cant believe that qpr won't give him a new deal tho.. he is a cult figure there.. mind you neil can be a bit idiosyncratic at times.. he can come and rot in our midfield
was impressed by teale a couple of seasons ago.. he was the only winger all season to give kyle n. a run for his money..
we should be raiding premiership reserve squads who are at a higher level but want to play more.. rather than buying the equivalent of what we already have..

To answer my own question............... yes, I would take Shaun Derry if Monty leaves. A bit contraversial but he'd be the one I'd trust to ensure our midfield doesn't lack bite.

An interesting option should Henderson leave is Ben Burgess, he's a big target man with decent control. Would make a good impact player at least.

And unfortunately, I can see us signing Chris Sedgwick. Little will be going, Sedgwick would be a similar replacement, we've been linked with him in the past and he's from Sheffield. I hope I'm wrong.

John Oster ,first on the list.
Sigoursson from Reading
Montgomery from Sheffield United.

Robbie Blake is looking for other options to gain first team football. Get him in!!! class player!

Danny Butterfield
Bogdanovic
Hameur Bouazza
Chris Riggot

(both be out of our wage range I think)
Akos Buzsaky
Filipe Teixeira

We've raided a few Premiership reserve teams in the loan market and they haven't been that much good, other than the odd flair or occassion.

Id leave Derry where he is to be honest.
