4 years ago we lost our first game in February, and then got 22 points from the next 8 games and got to the FA Cup semi-final.

We lost to fleetwood at the end of January, very similar to Villa. Onwards and upwards!

Got the sack, then half a season with a much weaker Burton got them promoted, how does that happen then?

Weren't they pretty much promoted when he got the job?, he just had to keep them in that spot?

Nothing against the bloke, but on his way back to league one, which is still pretty good for Burton. The last few seasons will have seemed like a dream to there fans.

Yeah but that team though but then again his first half season with us was good too, maybe that's his forte.

There was actually one or two booing believe it or not after the Fleetwood loss ... They were shouted down of course but there was a bit of unrest ... Until we hammered port vale 4-0 the next game lol

Yeah but that team though but then again his first half season with us was good too, maybe that's his forte.

He took over a side Jimmy Floyd-Hasselbaink had built and led to top of the league, then managed to get them over the line by a point. Fair play to him though he's done a good job there, he kept them up last season but they're nailed on to finish bottom this time. Clearly a good fit for Burton.

His full season here was for the most part horrendous, after we had built the momentum to kick on. I couldn't care less about the League Cup run.

Yeah but we've lost to Millwall, Preston, Bristol City, Villa, Wolves, Bolton. Plenty of "Fleetwood's" in there. Garbage form.
Maybe CW just doing enough to stay up.

Or a re-run of 1971-2 season? Take first division by storm then er fuck it up a bit. Still beat Ipswich 7-0 though but then promptly stuffed at Screaming Alice 0-5 the next week. Still finished about 10th.

I don't remember us winning many from August to May that season.

I stand corrected Pinchy. I know it was on MoTD and our house master was a Palace fan. grrrr!

Like Silent I was at a boarding school, funny enough not overly far from him. Although the schools played each other not sure if Silent and I were ever on opposing teams and never realised it. Used to take radio into the net as I was a goalie. (And no i didn't let one in whilst awaiting a Blades score).
