Do you think this style is easier to play against?True, but you could agrue that Wilson was even more defensively minded than Weir, giving us a tight game at the back with nothing up front. As you say Baxter, Cuvelier, King and Hall should be better than what was there last season but their introduction may have compromised things defensively whilst, on the face of it, making things no better if not worse going forward. Is it the manager, the players, the formation, the tactics, the fitness or some or all of the above? I think the latter, but people on here seem to think 2 up top and lump it solves everything. It wouldn't because we haven't got the players to play that way either.
Opponents can let us have the ball and pass sidewards and backwards for long periods,getting nowhere,then knowing they will get chances or a set piece,score,then know we are struggling to score goals,and no added pressure because no extra striker is introduced then they can just defend the 1-0 lead?
