beattie - 40k = 35% = roughly 120k a week for the whole squad

squad of 24 players = 5k a week each

the average championship wage is 7k a week

so not only is mccabe a liar

he is a tight sod, so what the club makes doesnt allow 7k a week?, which in looking at it, we should make a lot more than the other clubs, attendances etc...

I certainly don't remember McCabe quoting figures, unless you work at the club, you've got no clue what Beattie's wages were, or what a lot of the other players wages are either!

they arnt going to be any more than 40k, and if they are lower, then thats an even lower wage budget, which further backs up my point

Not really, it's starting to ruin this forum. There was a time when different threads had different points of view but now one thread seems to be the same as the rest.

Funny that, I can remember McCabe saying that "we needed to trim the wage bill" crystal clear. Unless the tea lady earns more than Beattie did, then that tells me that players would leave.

A deal hadn't been done. He said that an offer had been made which wasn't acceptable. He also said that alot was down to what Beattie wanted.

How do you know that certain terms weren't changed/offered which weren't enough for Beats to stay? Beattie has said himself that he's disappointed to leave.

Nobody's happy about him going, but going around wailing like a spoilt three year-old isn't going to change anything, and even your rants above appear to be slightly inaccurate, at best.

At the time it was. Think how many rumors have been branded about in the last week. Figures ranging from 2.5 million up to 6 shows a hell of a lot of speculation doesn't it?
