Was the 3-1 win in November 1994. Trigger Blade, I still remember your "Bodinog" article about that game in Blades Tales. Still makes me smile!

Went there once in December 1989. We won 2-0 with goals from Duffield (who broke his leg scoring) and MorrisBeen there twice. Lost once (think it was 2-0) and we sat on the main stand opposite the cameras by the empty end. Shit game.
Other time I think we drew. Frank Talia was in their net and Iffy O played for them (and hit the bar late on from about 35 yards)
pommpey

I fancy it being a special night for the lucky ones who are going, never bank on the Blades but at the same time don't write us off either. We have the uncanny knack of doing the unthinkable in both aspects. In for a humdinger tonight then aren't I!![]()
That game was played on 27 or 28 December I think. We played a weakened team and still won. Paul Bodin scored an own goal or missed a penalty (or possibly both).
.
He scored an own goal and I am hoping for Trigger Blade to explain the "Bodinog" story
Brain seems to think that game was on a Sunday, not on the box thoughWent there once in December 1989. We won 2-0 with goals from Duffield (who broke his leg scoring) and Morris
I went to that, you just knew Duff's leg had gone the moment he did it even though we were at the opposite end.
.
Yes, it was on a Sunday, cant remember why. Before the game I persuaded my dad to go slighly off route on the way to the match to see "The White Horse" at Uffingham. When we got there to see it, my dad said "Is that it? A waste of time seeing it!"Brain seems to think that game was on a Sunday, not on the box though
Remember a steady toodle across to Swindon and back via Oxfordshire and country pubs

I believe your family were having dinner at a different room? I can imagine your face when your son replied "Bodinog" after you asked him who had scored! And you have a name plaque for your house which says "Bodinog"?It was originally a short article for Flashing Blade which I understand found its way into Blades Tales, it's not that much of a story.
Trig Jnr (TY) was about seven at the time and we put Ceefax on to find out the score and scorers. One of ours was Bodin og and Trig Jnr (TY) thought we must have signed a new player, not being familiar with the og abbreviation, and ever since, not that he crops up often, Bodin has been known as Bodinog.
Ive only been to County and Barnsley away played decent both times if they played like they did at Barnsley that will do me.I fancy it being a special night for the lucky ones who are going, never bank on the Blades but at the same time don't write us off either. That was our last win in Dec 1994 and our other goalscorer was Bodin og!!I remember going to watch us win at Swindon back in the day and Littlejohn scored and Fjortoft scored for them with a peach. It was around Christmas time cant remember when tho.
