Got to agreeHe's been absolutely wank since Hillsborough. His only good performance has been against QPR.
He's a lazy bastard.

Where is it on show? Nobody has said anything like it.The cannon works and runs so is good theory is on show again
Yes he runs and chases down the defenders but he’s absolutely woeful at football, he put a free header wide from 5 yards out, 5 yards!! We need someone who can score effing goals not someone who will ‘put in a shift’ by basically just running about.
And what is ‘utilise him properly’?Cannon is an easy whipping boy. His running and harrying led to Riedewald's goal last night and thought he pressed pretty well. It doesn't help that he was playing alongside Campbell, who was an utter disgrace yet again. I've never seen someone so out of shape or lazy. He will dine on those goals against the Pigs, because he has offered nothing else this season. Cannon probably won't be a success here, but why spend £10m on him if you're not going to utilise him properly?
By giving him service. Look at how we played last night for example... Just pumping long balls for him to chase on his own, with Campbell blowing out his arse after 20 minutes. We got 90 points last season and our top scorer managed just 10 goals. Haaland would struggle to score goals in this team. And what is ‘utilise him properly’?
He’s played up top by himself, he’s played in a two with: Bamford, Campbell and Ings…. And he’s been garbage in all of them? What is utilising him properly?

Excuses excuses excuses.Last year the 60 minutes use of Campbell baffled me but it was clearly done for a reason. Perhaps he has fitness/injury issues that long term needs managing as this year he's played more when picked and the performances have been well off it.
Confidence with strikers is a huge thing and the cotton wool treatment clearly worked last year goals per minute he was if not the most prolific well up there.
If you look at his history last year was his most prolific and when you factor in his time on the pitch even more so.Excuses excuses excuses.
He should have confidence after that QPR game.
And there's no excuse for not at least trying. Next to Cannon really shows up just how little pressing and off the ball work he actually does. And that's not suggesting Cannon's good either.
I'm not that bothered about whether he's a 20 goal striker if he plays well. He doesn't. That's the issue. If you look at his history last year was his most prolific and when you factor in his time on the pitch even more so.
He's just not ever going to be a 20 goal a season striker imo. Getting him to 15 would be a success
Putting Campbell to one side ! I think we all agree is lazy and we will never get 90mins from him .Cannon is an easy whipping boy. BOh I don't forget him, but barely seen him in the past couple of months
But we are a Possession based side we don’t lump itBy giving him service. Look at how we played last night for example... The season is done, may as well just play him and Bamford up top for the rest of the season. He's scored goals at this level in worse sides than us, would like to see him actually start a couple of matches in a row, rather than play him and then don't see him again for another few weeks.Putting Campbell to one side ! I think we all agree is lazy and we will never get 90mins from him .
What does Cannon bring to the table! I can't think of one strength he has out of the 5 or 6 a striker needs ! As for workrate that should br a given excusing Campbell!.
It was always going to be hit and miss with Ings, at that time in the window it was worth the gamble, when he was in the team and fit he scored once that should have got us 3 points at home to Norwich had the defence not let us down, he also had another 2 ruled out for very close offsides. Yes he has loss that edge after his earlier career injury but it's just like Bamford and Phillips, both of them are gambles too. When Cannon was having the purple patch earlier in the season in terms of goalscoring he put that down to help and coaching from Ings. I don't think he has done enough to extend his contract, but he has allowed for other players to be rested/gain experience in a better environment. You can guarantee if we would have kept One, rather than loaning him out, he would be benched.Bamford’s good but can’t be relied upon (longterm fitness issues and an inability to maintain form).
Ings is absolutely shite and wasted. I said it the day we signed him. Overpaid waste of space.
I’m a Campbell fan. Frightening at his best. His stats this season (6 goals) are ok for someone who’s been in and out.
Cannon’s rubbish but no one will want him. If we have a bit of money to throw around we could try and loan him out and replace him but I find that unlikely.
I’m not as high on Oné as many are but he certainly deserves a spot on the bench next year.
We certainly need one good addition next year, probably 2 if we continue with 2 up front as a regular option.
