There’s a couple around where I sit that obviously aren’t from round here, have funny twanged accents and talk about the long drive. Do nothing but moan constantly at pretty much everything and everyone and for some reason mcgoldrick gets most of the blame (can’t see to think of a reason for that ) even when he’s not on the pitch. They leave at 80 minutes every week, no matter what’s happening in the game as well.

So what’s the point? Why fork out for a season ticket, travel hours every game, just to be considerably pissed off and then go early anyway? I just don’t understand it

I know someone around the same age who is a season ticket holder and constantly just criticises the team. He was furious yesterday because we didn't hit Rotherham for 5 or 6.

Both him and this guy will have gone home unhappy yesterday. Just don't see what they get out of it.

I think it’s a Sheffield thing, I really do. I’ve never known anywhere quite like it for having an abundance of folks who view life so negatively. That guy is typical of so many.

You have to question why they bother going. Not just about Madine, but the general displeasure on their faces.

It was a pretty shit game Saturday, but leaving negatively ! For fuck sake
Listening to that you'd have thought we were in the relegation places and just lost at home. We won comfortably and went 2nd for a short time.
There are a lot of moaners around though, that criticise the team and individuals even when we are winning comfortably and in the position we are in. Bet they were moaning when we beat Spurs 6v0.

Give him a break, I mean, how much weed has he done in the past 2hrs!??

Seems to me there's an increasing virtue signalling panic won't someone think of the children oh my God load of utter fucking bollocks about this issue. It's becoming a fucking self fulfilling prophecy like the UK will cease to exist post Brext because the cunting BBC says it often enough. ( Which they're obviously perfectly entitled to do being funded through advertising and not at all reliant upon pressganged fines levied on all lol)

Point is all those with ridiculous quantities of sand in their vaginas are either...

Fucking thick.
Too young to have lived through every play off final defeat.
Every play off semi final defeat.
Every FA Cup final defeat.
Every League Cup semi final defeat.
Or
Every last day relegation.

Our support is absolutely fantastic.

Shut the fuck up and instead of whining on here use your hot air to drive chants on match day.

These days stick a camera in someone's face, ask them some dull question about a game, a player or (god forbid) tactics, and you'll get some laughably misinformed opinion. But that's enough about Jamie Redknapp, Garth Crooks and Chris Sutton et al, because if we're talking about the bastard offspring of Andy Warhol's nightmare vision, FanTV, there will never be words enough to describe the earnest uselessness of it.

In the good old days you could quietly move away from some or other ranting knobhead but now they're everywhere. It's not enough that some of them actually produce post-match videos of themselves "analysing" games to their own camera, but now these DFBs are actively being sought out in the street.

The odd thing is, though, despite the unintentionally hilarious nature of the fatuous reactions, that old "Wisdom of Crowds" thing comes to the rescue. Crowds know who's a good player, what good football looks like and who's a cheat. But there's nowt so queer as folk.

Absolutely.

There's a 164 year old bloke who sits behind me who's a reyt miserable cunt.

I think we have been hurt so much before in the past that we don't want to open up our emotions too much in case we get hurt again, I think most people are hopeful we can go up but nobody truly believes and expects it.

It's the same with the play offs, nobody wants us to be in them, even though a play off win with this team and manager would be one of the greatest days of our lives. But the thought of the hurt it would bring again is simply unbearable.

Fucking hell, its football not a generic Hollywood Romcom

Some of them are far worse than the miserable old bastards in the old JohnStreet seats. At least most of them were gaga.

Speaking of miserable old bastards, the flat caps at the Kop end of the terrace in the 70s resembled a flock of emperor penguins suffering from PMT...

Really smart emotion management to be fair, it's better to just feel nothing. It makes the chore of following a football club much easier.
