With a bit of luck we could have got a draw at Bolton and a place in the 2nd round of the league cup - however the Blades have never been a "lucky" club IMO
Got a good feeling about today and the near future. Tufty's made some good signings which bodes well.
My worry is that if we haven't scored by say half-time the "doom and gloom" merchants will come to the fore, and we've got our fair share of them.

So come on the 18k Blades lets back the lads, give them a chance gel and hopefully get a win

18k fans after six years in L1 says it all. Let's hope the Board, manager and players start to repay this fantastic loyalty.

I predict over 20k today and a cracking atmosphere, think Wilder has been a breath of fresh air which the majority of fans seem to be embracing COYRAWW.

I really hope you're right. I think there'll be mutterings at the first misplaced pass and booing from self-entitled numpties if we go behind, followed by a funereal silence from the best fans in the land...

Well, Mr Wilder has blown the "first impressions" opportunity ............ he and his team need to get on with the job

Me, I am gonna sit on mi hands, and try to count the corners on Clarke's bonce

booing from self-entitled numpties

I know there are some knobs within United's support but I don't believe 'self-entitled' is an adjective you can use about any of them given they cough up their money to watch year after year of failure.

No doubt the crowd will start behind them, BUT we have got to get the basics right.

If Brayford's crosses don't beat the 1st man, If we dont get players in the box, if we dont shoot when in decent positions, If we go back when a forward pass is on.....then we will be pissed off my friends.

Is Rudyard a blade?? anyone ITK??

I think the only risk of any booing is for those players who were entirely unpopular last season. Namely Coutts and Freeman. My only concern is that, if Long plays, some muppets might get on his back and dish out the vile abuse they did last season.

Personally, I'll only boo them at half or full time if we've been shit and lost.

I look forward to hearing how we got on when I get back from the match from those who heard it on the radio.
I will be neither at the match nor listening on the radio today, but I will make sure I shout my opinion on here louder than anybody who has been or listened. And if you don't agree with my opinion I will argue with you, and maybe call you nasty names. That ok?

Especially if you're not in the city or even the country at the time. These are the opinions I need to hear because sometimes my view from row M on the Kop can be a bit hazy.

Maybe a little bit of vocal support, however undeserved, from the 'best fans in the land', would help?...
Spot on with that comment
Over to you Shoreham Boys and South Stand H block

That could be down to the copious amount of alcohol consumed before the match TD, it's even hazier for me from row D ;)

I never touch a drop pre-game. I drink a fuck load of black coffee (don't even like coffee) to stay awake during the match then I hit it hard afterwards, either in celebration of a victory or to forget what I just saw. (Usually the latter)

I'm not speaking for pinchy, but I think self-entitled hits the nail on the head for a portion of our fans:

We seem to have a few fans assuming that big crowds and being a (supposedly) big club gives you a right to succeed: practically defined self-entitlement.

It also makes me laugh when people say "I/we pay money.....etc":
All football fans pay money! And all football teams can't be successful at the same time.

I've had 4 cans of Coors Light on train journey. I'm in the mood for singing !

Hope the rest of the fans in the South Stand are.

South Stand? You'll be lucky, they're far too "refined" these days. Singing will spoil the spectators enjoyment of the soccer-related entertainment on show.
The days of the G and H block are sadly long gone.

Clearly then, our definitions of 'self entitled' differ, the fans do their bit pay their money and support the team, hence as with all other transactions something in return would be nice.
I don't believe promotion from the third tier for United to be success but then we all have different aspirations.

It would be nice, but is that why you buy your ticket? For success and glory?
You're not guaranteed anything when you buy a ticket, so it isn't like any old transaction. Like I say, paying for your ticket isn't exclusive to united fans.
