This is a public poll.

Who would you say our biggest rival was... and why?

Maybe you consider our neighbouring clubs to be our biggest rivals?

Maybe you think league rivals are the most important?

Perhaps events in the recent past throw up some other names?

The poll contains the other 91 clubs in the football leagues this season arranged alphabetically by league :)

Vote away.

Reading for me, i think they will be the most likely of the relegated clubs to go straight back up, even though i dont like them, they do play very good football and im sure Coppell can guide them back up

I'm saying Palace.

We play them at home at what is usually our lowest ebb (December) and away on the last day of the season.

After coming so close last season, NW is going to want to go for it this season.

Could make for some fiery encounters :)

Piggies can nob off, the day they become rivals is the day they manage to do the double over us ;)

I reckon Reading, like the promotion season. I don't think Birmingham will do much, and Palace did very well last season, but I don't think they will be able to build on that.
As for Wendy, what Linz said.

Got to be the oinkers all the way for me. If we don't beat any other team, it hurts. If we don't beat the pigs, it's positively disasterous.

I'd like to beat Forest as well, but nothing comes close for me.

I'd let the piggies have six points off us if it meant we could go up :)

Only if it was 100% absolutely guaranteed though.

And they went down.

:D

Me too, in the grand scheme of things. But the other teams are all just about points; there's something special about beating the unclean.

I've gone for reading, i think we will both be up there fighting to go up

but also agree what people have been saying about palace

I've gone for burnley i reckon there gunna be up there next season

I reckon Burnley will be all the way down the other end of the table this season

As for our biggest rivals, the most important games to me are the Wednesday games, but in terms of who will be battling with us for promotion, i reckon reading or palace will be our toughest challenge

Birmingham or Reading for me, have always been a threat when last in Championship and I think they'll be same again! Don't see Derby and QPR doing much even though they are 'favourites' just because they're buying plenty of players and theres supposed talk of spending millions! Who knows though, one (or all) of the relegated teams may have an 'indifferent' season like we did, here's hoping anyway ;)

Where's Hallam FC ;)

Nothing, but nothing could take the scalps of the unwashed away though. It has to be the pigs. It means everything.

I remember a line from a Watford fan in '96 as we were on a non-air conditioned tram back from the sty after the Denmark v Croatia match. There happened to be a few Luton fans there and some good natured banter went on, despite the fact that we were herded on like it was the Mumbai-Bangalore express, and in tropical heat.

Luton fan: You got relegated too, remember!
Watford fan : Not bottom of the table though, we got the moral victory!

It's what it's all about; beating the points out of those gets. In fact, just beating them at all costs.

Hahaha... you make a good point :)

its that time of year again pre season make your predictions and every prediction you make slowly go's balls up before the end of the season ......................... part and parcel of being a blade i just hope for that silent stomach deep feeling again when were top of the league like a few seasons ago! MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY.................. wonder if blackwell will do a HARRY and have a early xmas?:D

IIRC, when we last got promoted, didn't we play Palace last game of the season :)
Lets do the same again :D

Wolves for me.
1 - 'cos I hate them.
and 2 - Because I think they will be in and around the top two all season.
