Ay, but they were made in proper sweatshops back in them daysHaving acquired a 1994-95 home shirt recently, it reminded me just how poor a quality of material Umbro used compared to the current Adidas shirt. Le Coq Sportif weren't too bad, but Macron were by and large terrible (apart from the first away shirt they did - I have one around somewhere).

Stripes aren't allowed on the back in the Premier league. So all those pining for a stripy back will have to see us relegated.View attachment 87404
Get us a Patrick one, for what it's worth. Stripes front and back and on the sleeves, collar. Done. It isn't hard.
They get away with it as they have red numbers and letters.

Champions League Kits Boast Plain Backs as UEFA Enforces Rules More Strictly
From what we could see in this and last week's Champions League playoff matches, UEFA appears to act more rigorous concerning the application of the kit rules this year.www.footyheadlines.com
Did you mention track suits?Got to be Umbro, from 89- were some of the best BLADES kits ever.
And for those moaning about the material, that was how it was then, remember shell suits!!?!!
The one thing that bugged me about Umbro though, not the kits, but the training gear, it was all the same for every club, just different colours.
Remember the 'V' coats.....I had one at school, went for Celtics green and black, as nobodyelse had one, everybody had the red and black or blue and black or blue and blue ones, and the cotton tracksuit that we had, ours was red, white and black, Wendy's was identical but blue white and black.........ah, memories......View attachment 87393View attachment 87394

I don't make the rules. I merely posted a link with the reasoning behind it. Whether there are exceptions isn't down to meSo the premier league has rules to follow, and within those rules there is scope for striped backs.
You’ve given the game away there. You are TC!Given that they made my favourite home shirt, I'd have to pick Umbro, but some of their later stuff wasnt great.
