Our very own Harry Johnson jnr is the only player to be the leading League goalscorer for 2 clubs

201 for Sheffield United
104 for Mansfield Town
I know!! That’s why I was looking if I could find any others

The Mansfield top scorer be is open to question though.

That list seems to have been prepared by a drunk person. Dunne, Tunstall and Jones are right. Not sure anyone else is.

Is that list top division goals only?

I just saw that Josh Windass has left the other lot after scoring 53 goals.

It got me thinking that not many Blades players have reached this figure. So i checked the last 40 years and it's not great (i'm only including players who's career with us STARTED within 40y, sorry Keith Edwards).

  • Billy Sharp = 129
  • Brian Deane = 119
  • Tony Agana = 52
  • Dane Whitehouse = 51
That's it. 4 players in the past 40 years have reached 50 goals for us. That's not great reading

Just off the list:
  • Ched Evans = 48
  • Ian Bryson = 44
  • Michael Brown = 35
  • Richard Cresswell = 30
Recent departures...
  • David McGoldrick = 30
  • Phil Jagielka = 22
  • Iliman Ndiaye = 21
  • Kieron Freeman = 20
  • John Fleck = 16
  • Chris Basham = 14
  • Jayden Bogle = 12
Of the current squad, our our leading scorers:
  • Gus Hamer = 15
  • Anel Ahmedhodzic = 12
  • Tyrese Campbell = 11
  • Jack Robinson = 7
  • Harrison Burrows = 6
  • Kieffer Moore = 6
Why can't we hold onto any decent scorer?

Thanks, I thought Woody must have scored more than 91.

In answer to your last sentence, MONEY, FALOUSE ,GELT.
Makes the world go round.
I share your frustration. :(

It's hard to judge really. Does McBurnie scoring 13 goals in the Premier League make him better than better than Billy Sharp who only scored 2 goals in the Premier League, or worse than Ched Evans who scored 29 goals in 36 League One matches?

Do you rank it on total goals, goals per game, top scorers by division?

What's the overall criteria?

This is still redundant anyway in terms of having 50 or over but just thought I'd mention him anyway that in your 'Just off the list' section you've missed out someone that goes in between Brownie and Cresswell, James Beattie with 34 goals.

He's like my 2nd* favourite all time striker too 🤦🏻

I'm sorry James.

Billy Sharp scored 6 Premier League goals.
