All happened after relegation,

Letting Warnock go, instead of backing him with another deal and cash

Employing Nobson, and trying to change the whole footballing structure in a promotion push. This change needed to be handled when/if we got a stable run in the premier. Not by a drunken has been

These 2 what might seem minor things now have set us back years, and i cant bare the hurt of watching us at the moment.

Its not the dull football, or the tactics that are doing me in. Its the total lack of hope. Even when we were really shite under Heath, at least we owned the players we watched. Now were actually turning into what wednesday had a few years ago, and thats a bunch of loan players we dont actually own or have any chance of owning.

All the players we look upto, or are excited to watch have been sold, Ward will be next, and are been replaced with journeymen that are finished. we have some hard working, honest as the day is long pros, but we need to supplement these players with young, skillful players who can get u off you seats and make things happen.

Sadly, Mc Cabe im losing faith in you, not Blackwell. You have made some major errors, and are now hiding behind a recession.

Please come out and just tell us like it is, i dont care if its all doom and gloom, stop the lies, and give your paying public the truth!

Maybe here lies the problem?? McCabe to me is a liar! Beattie will not be sold he said, 2 days later he was sold!

Blackwell to me, has a proven track record, always done a decent job with teams he's managed. Got the unclean from up the M1 to playoff final. Same with us, turned us around. Also did ok for Luton. Is it a coincidence they disappeared off the radar after he left? I know the money & admin was a massive factor but just prior to that they were giving Liverpool a run for their money in the FA Cup.

As much as Warnock was (and still is) a legend. He Did a great job for us. I believe that the time was right for him to leave when we were relegated. Not because I think he didn't have the ability to take us back up, he did. But there would have been added pressure and inpatience from the crowd.

The mistake back then was made in the Jan Transfer window when we were in the PL, we shouldn't have tried to just stay up, we should have back the manager to keep us up with one or two key signings.

The time was right for a fresh start and the theory of bringing Robson in I could see. McCabe thought (wrongly) that Robson would get us playing great flowing football through the medium of bringing in Big money signings.

Big names, Big money and short loans are the philosophy now.

By the way what has happened to Jason Koumas? Has he just retired

Warnock isn't a legend apart from in his own mirror.

If you want to step back in time and (in my opinion) see where we got it wrong it was keeping Warnock after he got us promoted. He wasn't up for the fight and shat his pants every away game.

We spent half a season looking for shirts to swap and the other half Warnock moaning about how bad the refereeing was. That January transfer window we should have thrown the kitchen sink at staying up, not hedging bets on unknowns and untesteds.

Warnock a legend? Christ what next, Monty for President?

I take your point Swiss about the fact it may have been time for Warnock to move on as i was thinking it myself. However, im humble enough to accept i was wrong to ever doubt him, and all he stood for.

We made mistakes in the Jan window that year, defo, but we made the bigger mistakes at the end of the season. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, and we cant say for sure where we would be now had we stuck by sir Neil. but i for one think we'd be allot better off than we are now!

Nope still at Wigan.

Why do you think we should get him in on loan? :D

We weren't wrong to get rid of Warnock at the time. We were supposed to be changing the ethos of the Club according to McCabe and needed to move away from the 100%ers and cloggers, so he brought in Robson, that was the mistake.

We're clearly not working to the same mandate anymore in regards to changing the image of the clubs playing style, and I think thats the question that KMc needs to be asked. Why have we ditched the vision for the club which you set out upon relegation from the PL?

Pah - you ungrateful lot, remember the days before Jumbo Vision ........

Spot on.

People are saying O'Driscoll but I'd rather we went for Coppell. McCabe said (pre Robson) he wanted someone with experience to get us out of this division so he ticks that box. His teams play football, he has a track record of bringing through good young players, is respected in the game and is out of work !

Dont agree, Robson was an unmitigated disaster......

2 biggest mistakes were appointing Blackwell and then not sacking him after the play-off final.

And anyone who thinks someone of Steve Copells calibre will be attracted to the abortion that is SUFC at the moment is mental

Disagree Jim, United need someone with a big personality to take over the club. Coppell is another passive quiet type like Robson. Get Holloway in!

Whereas Sean O'Driscoll.......

We had a 'personality' with Warnock, why can't we have someone who gets success on the pitch as the priority for a change ?

Eugh, I'm not sure the football under Holloway would be any better than it is now to be honest.

I'd take Coppell, but whether he'd want to come here and work with no money is a different matter. The majority of Unitedites probably wouldn't warm to him either.

My choice, if/when Blackwell does leave, is Lee Clark who's doing a fantastic job at Huddersfield on a threadbare budget and from what I've seen - is getting them playing passing attacking football.

1. Lack of real investment when we got promoted.
2. Continuation of the Blades mentality.

Blackpool fan sat about 5 yards from me, Holloway plays quality attacking football, none of this tip tap crap.

Re: Clark, he's spent loads of money for League 1 and probably has one of the top biggest budgets. They play decent football (I've seen them at the Galpharm this season), but he's a several years away from being the finished article.

Ask him where Blackpool would be without Charlie Adam :D

Holloway signed him and kept him. Made some good signings overall and his contract expires at the end of the season. Get Holloway in!!!:thumbup::thumbup:
