My dad's first match. His last one was the Walsall defeat with the Givens missed penalty. Quite a contrast.I knew someone who attended our 11-2 win against Cardiff on New Years Day 1926. He said when the 10th goal went in , many in the crowd threw their hats or caps in the air but most had to had to have a good look round to find their hats/caps afterwards!
Ehh I remember it well , knackered at the end of the match jumping up and down celebrating all them goals , lets hope it never happens again![]()
Eh isn't it a shame he cant watch the team now , I might have been next to him at Walsall , I was there myself . ( crying )That game was my grandad's first game. His last game was United's defeat at home to Walsall that relegated us to Division Four for the first time in our history. Quite a contrast!
Wasnt it in the top division we had just won promotion in a play off?
Sky saying it's the biggest ever top flight away win tonight ?
Obviously cant compare now to then but records are records.
..,and the Burslem ultras attacked us with their flat capsI was going to go, but was only a nipper, and didn't have enough loyalty points![]()

I think most refs would have given southampton benefit of the doubt for the pen ! Yes it was a pen but refs usually have sympathy for a team that's on there arse.0-9 bloody hell!
I beat you to it!My dad's first match. His last one was the Walsall defeat with the Givens missed penalty. Quite a contrast.
I wouldn’t. Feck em.I think most refs would have given southampton benefit of the doubt for the pen ! Yes it was a pen but refs usually have sympathy for a team that's on there arse.
And he'll never forgive me now for telling him always to read things carefully before doing something.Looks like 1973Blade is either your son or nephew!

He got there first. I am slowing down in old age! Bloody young uns...An astonishing coincidence if not!
Beware the effects of trying to watch TV, post on here, and drink whiskey at the same time...I beat you to it!
Seriously? They were pretty shiteIt's hard to believe saints didn't look that far apart from Leicester at our place. Playing with 10 for 80 minutes obviously undermines saints structure and shape
Neither would I. I love the fact that Man Utd now dont hold the record for a Premier League win on their own. & Vardy again, just like he did with Van Nistleroy’s record.I wouldn’t. Feck em.![]()
Some pretty abject refereeing / VARHow did we lose to this shower of shite at Home?
0 - 8!
He off to Arsenal didn't you know ??
Loyal my arse.I was going to go, but was only a nipper, and didn't have enough loyalty points![]()
