Dec 1892 Burslem Port Vale 0 SUFC 10 is still the record for an away win in the League.

Leicester winning 7-0 at Southampton with 20 mins left to play.

I knew someone who attended our 11-2 win against Cardiff on New Years Day 1926. He said when the 10th goal went in , many in the crowd threw their hats or caps in the air but most had to had to have a good look round to find their hats/caps afterwards!

Assume that wasn't top flight as they are saying Leicester now have top flight record.

Great result for us come the end of the season as if we are down there as we don’t like goal difference.

Sky Sports keep repeating

biggest ever win in the PL era and
biggest ever away top flight win

I suppose our 10-0 win will get a mention somewhere in tomorrow’s papers.

Wasnt it in the top division we had just won promotion in a play off?
Sky saying it's the biggest ever top flight away win tonight ?
Obviously cant compare now to then but records are records.

That game was my grandad's first game. His last game was United's defeat at home to Walsall that relegated us to Division Four for the first time in our history. Quite a contrast!
