I'm the same as well. Been living in central London and it fucks me off so much that football talk in my office essentially boils down to them forcing me to have to learn everything about Arsenal, Chelsea, West Ham and Tottenham while they sit there making zero effort to comprehend life outside of the Premier League!

The closest I have ever got to Sheffield United related conversations at work was coming across a Notts Forest fan who could only talk about how much of a cunt Chris Morgan is and a West Ham fan who reckoned his team got the raw deal in the Carlos Tevez affair because of all the compensation they had to pay us.

I listened to their drivel for 5 minutes.
They were full of it until I stood up and chucked £500 on the table and said "Ok £500 says United won't go down, who's got the bolox"

I feel the term "Selling Club" is used as a derogatory term when in reality it should just be "Football Club" Im more than happy to be a selling club if we can finally master the art of "Selling" if it means next season we can exist and kick on, for every player we sell for X amount now under Wilder I am confident we can bring in a player of equal ability for a fraction of the cost.

I always end up replying to C'est Sham fans with the same thing nowadays; If they genuinely think they've been hard done to then they are more than welcome to change places with us.

Unfortunately that reply mainly worked when we were in league one and I fear that in a few years time they'll be more inclined to take me up on that offer. In which case I'll need to think of a better way to tell them to fuck off.

A spammer was giving it the big un because he saw my Sheffield United towel draped over my sunbed

He was standing about at the side of the pool with his annoying cockney patois and obviously sniffing something when my mate walked up to him and calm as you like shoved him in

My mate just kept walking by, slowly passed his mates with a "I'm ready if you want it" look on his face

He circled the pool and came and sat back down on his sunbed with my United towel

Very funny to see it but I told him he really shouldn't have done that

Could have caused mayhem but none of them said a word

West Ham 'you've abandoned your history and heritage and no one wants to play for you. Gold and Sullivan have pocketed the cash and are hanging Bilic out to dry'

OP - that derby fan is either on the wind up or talking shite, do we have the best 11 players in the league? No. Do we have the best team spirit? Definitely. The one thing I believe in is that we will give 100% every minute of every game, that's a Wilder minimum. I cannot think of a team, any league, that gave 100% but got relegated due to having the worst 11players in that league. Attitude (bad) gets you relegated. Look at Sunderland last year, moyes came out in October and said they would do well to not be relegated,from then on they were down. Would wilder allow that? No.

Might not have the best 11 players no....but we have at least one.
And most teams won't have any!

Add the best manager, best team spirit and momentum and we might be the surprise package.

Barnsley, Burton, Bolton, Ipswich, Millwall, Preston and QPR will all finish below United maybe so for Brentford, Cardiff, Bristol C, Birmingham and Forest I see us ending the season mid table at least.
