I have more time for the Osborn signing, but I guess if we have no money then having players who know our formation back to front is better than bringing in players who aren't EPL standard.

My only question would be over squad size.

Try supporting the players. Nathan Blake came out with this quote some time ago: “the home fans at Bramall Lane are something else when it comes to being fickle. They will turn on their players, especially when you consider the season they have been having." Reading these comments it’s hard to disagree. Some fans don’t know the meaning of support. We genuinely have some of the most pathetic fans in the country.

Not perfect but we are where we are financially. We didn't take up the option on JF which tells you he has taken a pay cut... and still agreed to a one year deal. Same with Osborn. So the fact that they have decided to stick around means that that they are settled at SUFC but also that in all probability they haven't found a better deal elsewhere. Mmhh. Tells you something. Thankfully they are both only 1 year deals.

I'm hoping that JF rediscovers his footballing ability from 3 years ago and that his 'dip' in form was injury related and he's taken a long time to get back up to speed. That and both of them dont need to play much next season.

They are good pros. I wouldn't have given them new contracts but then I'm not the manager. PH clearly wants them around so this one is down to him.

I too hope they have great seasons. As do all Blades fans I would think. Serious doubts that they will do though. Still fingers crossed

Probably half that amount on their combined wages. Probably not much in terms of fees.

I'm the opposite, I'd have given up on Fleck but kept Ozzy as a peak age backup.

The key point to remember is we barely have any midfielders and probably can't sign 5 or 6 this summer.

This is great business. To get these two to sign one year deals is excellent. Surprised Fleck signed this, a big gamble for him at his age.

If we stay up then we can let them go next summer. If we go down, then we'll have no problem extending Ozzy, and Fleck has had a year to prove he can stay fit consistently before extending further.

I'd be fairly surprised if Coulibaly is here at the start of the season as well.

Luckily he doesn't need a good season. Just a a few decent performances because all being well, I'm assuming Fleck will start less than three league matches. Perhaps zero starts in the league.

Why would they have taken wage cuts to stay?
From being at a Championship club to being at a Premier League club
